An app does not replace a removal van – but it makes working together easier. If you manage your move planning digitally, you can send us a furniture list in advance and, on moving day, use the box numbers to tell us what goes into which room. We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21) and handle moves within the city and as a long-distance move, at a fixed price after a survey. Your household goods are covered under the HGB, and additional insurance is available on request.

From the first flat viewing to the last box, well-thought-out move planning guides you through every phase. Re-registration, notice periods, renovation and furniture assembly can be scheduled and ticked off digitally. Much can be done directly online: you book the appointment at the Berlin registration office (Bürgeramt) via service.berlin.de, the mail forwarding order with Deutsche Post, and the change of address for the broadcasting licence fee (Rundfunkbeitrag) via its website. A shared list helps especially with a private move involving many people.

Which kind of app suits your move
For structured move planning you do not need a special app: a task app with reminders, a shared note or a spreadsheet for the inventory is enough for most moves. Dedicated moving apps combine checklists, inventory lists and reminders; some offer QR code labels for boxes that you scan with your phone to see the contents. Before downloading, check the costs, data protection and whether the app works offline.
In addition, a spreadsheet for budget and deadlines is worthwhile, for example for terminations or the appointment at the Bürgeramt. Digital checklist: 6 steps to a stress-free move
A proven moving checklist starts around eight weeks before the date with giving notice on the old flat and asking a removal company for a fixed-price quote. Four weeks beforehand, decluttering and the first packing begin, documented digitally in the app; in Berlin you now also apply for the parking restriction zone (Halteverbotszone) at the district office (Bezirksamt). Two weeks beforehand you book the appointment at the Bürgeramt and the mail forwarding order and inform insurers and contract partners.
In the last week, boxes are finally packed and labelled, while the app provides an overview of all rooms and their contents. On moving day our moving helpers transport your household goods, covered under the HGB. After moving in, you register within two weeks (§ 17 BMG) – with the landlord confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung). The app helps with unpacking, as every box is assigned to a destination room.

What goes into the calculation
The distance is charged from €3.80/km, while the volume determines the basic time required. Floor and lift affect the carrying time, a parking restriction zone the loading time. A part load is also possible and can reduce costs.
