A move from Berlin to Hildesheim does not go via Hanover but finally via the A7, which runs past the east of the city: from Stromstraße 21 in Moabit the route goes via the AVUS and the Berlin ring road onto the A2, at the Wolfsburg/Königslutter interchange onto the A39 and along it past Braunschweig and Salzgitter to the Salzgitter junction. There the lorry changes to the A7 and drives 13 km north to the Hildesheim exit. Around 280 km in total, approx. 3.5 h of driving time with the removal lorry. We drive the move from Hildesheim to Berlin in the opposite direction.

Hildesheim is a bishop's seat and a university town: the University of Hildesheim, the HAWK and the Norddeutsche Hochschule für Rechtspflege teach here, and St Mary's Cathedral and St Michael's Church have been UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1985. The lorry drives via the A100 and A115 to the Berlin ring road (A10), at the Werder junction onto the A2 to the Wolfsburg/Königslutter interchange and then on the A39 south past Braunschweig and through Salzgitter to the Salzgitter junction, which has been passable in all directions since 2020. We drive the last 13 km north on the A7 to the Hildesheim exit. As lorries over 3.5 t drive at a maximum of 80 km/h on the motorway (§ 18 (5) StVO), we expect approx. 3.5 h of driving time; the mandatory break under EU Regulation 561/2006 only applies after 4.5 hours of driving time.
On moving day we load in Berlin or Hildesheim, secure all furniture and pack fragile items separately. At the destination we unload swiftly and, on request, assemble straight away – with a move from Hildesheim to Berlin via the same motorways in the opposite direction.
