33 km via the A111 and B96: route and course of the moving day
From Stromstraße 21 in Moabit to Oranienburg it is around 33 kilometres. The lorry heads north on the A111 – past Tegel, Hermsdorf and Stolpe – to its end at the Oranienburg interchange and from there takes the B96, which runs past the west of the town centre. Depending on the destination address we leave it at the Oranienburg-Zentrum-Süd exit, for example. Without jams that is around half an hour by lorry; in rush-hour traffic we allow more. Removal lorries over 3.5 t may drive at a maximum of 80 km/h on the motorway (§ 18 (5) StVO).
Loading, driving, unloading: on this route carrying takes up most of the time. We secure furniture with blankets and straps, unload in Oranienburg in the agreed order and on request reassemble beds, wardrobes and kitchen. A move to Oranienburg therefore usually fits into one working day – as does the way back from Oranienburg to Berlin. Town centre, neighbourhoods, Havel: arriving in Oranienburg
Oranienburg lies on the Havel and the Oder–Havel Canal and is the district town of the Oberhavel district. Besides the town centre, eight neighbourhoods belong to the town: Friedrichsthal, Germendorf, Lehnitz, Malz, Sachsenhausen, Schmachtenhagen, Wensickendorf and Zehlendorf.
