Moving Berlin – Ingolstadt: 509 km on the A9 to the Schanz

Removal company Berlin
One motorway, two cities: moving Berlin – Ingolstadt
To the Danube
The route to Ingolstadt is quickly explained: from the yard at Stromstraße 21 in Moabit via the A100, the AVUS (A115) and a stretch of the Berlin ring road to the Potsdam junction – from there only the A9, 456 kilometres in one go to the Ingolstadt exits. Leipzig, Hof, Bayreuth and Nuremberg lie along the way. Together it is around 509 km, approx. 7.5 h including a break for the removal lorry. The guide price is from €2,110; the fixed price becomes binding after the survey. You can add packing, dismantling and assembly on the Danube as needed.
An older building with a side wing in Berlin, a new build with an underground car park in Ingolstadt – or the other way round: we discuss carrying routes, floors and stopping space beforehand, during the survey in Berlin or by video, and for the Ingolstadt address using your photos. We are based in Berlin and drive from there right to your new door. A piano, display cabinet or wall unit stands firmly strapped down in the lorry. Our liability for damage is governed by the HGB (§ 451e: €620 per cubic metre of loading space); optional additional insurance is possible.

One team from Moabit to the Danube
Out to Ingolstadt, back to Berlin
Our moving company is based in Berlin-Moabit, Stromstraße 21. For Ingolstadt this means: the people who pack and load in Berlin also carry everything in again in Etting, Unsernherrn or in the old town inside the Glacis. Because we are not based in Ingolstadt, we look at access and stopping space beforehand using your photos. We set the fixed price after the survey; damage is covered by liability under the HGB, and more cover is available on request. The same applies to the way back to Berlin.

Part load on the A9 to Ingolstadt
A flatshare room, a few pieces of furniture, a handful of boxes? Then a part load is the low-cost solution: your belongings travel on a tour that is already rolling via the A9 to Bavaria – or back from Ingolstadt to Berlin. You pay for the loading space you use. There are no fixed departure days; we get in touch as soon as a suitable trip is confirmed.

Your
schedule for the move to Ingolstadt
A move to Ingolstadt often has a fixed deadline – starting work at Audi or another employer, the start of semester at the Technische Hochschule. That is why we plan backwards from the deadline: notice and handover in Berlin, survey, parking restrictions at both buildings, loading day and, after moving in, registration in Ingolstadt within two weeks. We take care of packing, dismantling, the drive via the A9 and assembly; piano, storage or clearance are added as needed. That leaves you time for your job, nursery and the flat handover.

FAQ on long-distance moves in both directions
Because of Audi, studies or family – and back again
Ingolstadt is the headquarters and largest production site of Audi; at the end of 2025 around 40,000 people worked there for the carmaker. Then there are the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt and the Faculty of Business and Economics of the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. Anyone moving from Berlin to Ingolstadt for this reason gets packing, dismantling, transport over around 509 km and assembly in the new flat from us – with a fixed price that is set after the survey.
We drive from Ingolstadt to Berlin in just the same way: after studies, for a new job or back to family and friends. In Berlin many end up in older buildings with rear courtyards, for example in Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain or Neukölln – buildings that are part of our everyday work in Berlin. Parking restriction and furniture assembly are included in this direction too.
The route: from Moabit via the A9 to the Danube
After a few kilometres of the A100 city motorway to the Funkturm junction, the lorry takes the AVUS (A115) and a short stretch of the Berlin ring road (A10) to the Potsdam junction. After that it stays on the A9: past the Schkeuditzer Kreuz between Halle and Leipzig, over the Hermsdorfer Kreuz, past Hof, Bayreuth and Nuremberg to the Ingolstadt exits. The section near Ingolstadt was completed as early as 1938. In total it is around 509 km.
A removal lorry over 3.5 t may not drive faster than 80 km/h on the motorway (§ 18 (5) StVO), and after 4.5 hours of driving time a 45-minute break is due under EU Regulation 561/2006. This results in approx. 7.5 h of driving. The daily driving time of nine hours is not reached, but with loading in Berlin and unloading in Ingolstadt the day fills up: whether two drivers are enough or we plan two days is clarified during the survey. We drive the way back to Berlin on the same motorway.
Arriving in Ingolstadt – and back in Berlin
Ingolstadt is an independent city on the Danube in Upper Bavaria with a good 140,000 inhabitants; it passed the 100,000 mark in 1989. The city area is divided into twelve districts, from Mitte via Etting and Oberhaunstadt to Friedrichshofen-Hollerstauden; then there are neighbourhoods such as Unsernherrn, Haunwöhr and Ringsee. The Liebfrauenmünster and the New Castle, built from 1479 and today home to the Bavarian Army Museum, recall the era of the dukes. We come from Berlin, drive right to your door, carry everything in and assemble the furniture.
Anyone moving back to Berlin finds very different districts – from Charlottenburg to Pankow. We plan the carrying route across the courtyard and side wing, with a furniture lift where necessary, and take care of unloading and assembly in the new Berlin flat.
Ingolstadt: guide prices for the outward and return move
Whether to Ingolstadt or back to Berlin: the following guide prices help with initial planning. What is in the fixed price is not charged extra later:

|---|---|---|
| One-room flat | 10–15 m³ | from €350 |
| Two-room flat | 20–25 m³ | from €590 |
| Three-room flat | 30–40 m³ | from €890 |
| Four-room flat | 45–60 m³ | from €1,290 |
| Detached house | from 60 m³ | quote on request |
We estimate the route itself – around 509 km, almost only the A9 – at a guide price from €2,110, outward and back; volume and additional services are added. It becomes binding after the free survey.
What the price for Berlin – Ingolstadt depends on
First comes the volume, because it decides the lorry size and staff. For Berlin–Ingolstadt the distance is added (around 509 km, from €4/km). After that, floor, lift or underground car park count, as well as extras such as furniture assembly and a parking restriction zone. Small quantities become cheaper with a part load.
From packing to clearance: our services
For the route to the Audi city and back we offer:
- Private move – the complete household, from the cellar to the children's room
- Company move – office or project team with a planned moving break
- Furniture transport – single pieces of furniture without a complete move
- Part load – a ride on an A9 tour towards Bavaria
- Move with assembly – kitchen, beds and wardrobes dismantled and set up again
- Clearance – nothing old is left behind, the handover works
