Moving company Berlin
Moving Berlin – Augsburg: A9 to Nuremberg, then the B2
Move without stress
A move from Berlin to Augsburg takes you from the Spree to the Lech and the Wertach: from our base at Stromstraße 21 in Moabit it is around 568 kilometres to the city of the Fuggerei. We come from Berlin and drive with the same team right to your door in Augsburg. We set the fixed price after a free survey, in your flat or by video, so that you know what the move costs before you book. Parking restriction zones, floors and special transport for a piano or artwork are planned at the same time.
We plan the journey realistically: approx. 8.5 h at the wheel including the mandatory break, because a lorry over 3.5 t is limited to 80 km/h on the motorway and a long stretch of federal road follows from Roth. Our liability for damage is governed by § 451e HGB at €620 per cubic metre of load space; for antiques, expensive electronics or heirlooms we arrange additional cover on request. How big the lorry and how strong the crew need to be depends on your volume – from a student room in the Universitätsviertel to a family house in Haunstetten.

Berlin crew for the A9, A6 and B2 – there and back
We are a moving company from Berlin-Moabit and drive your move ourselves all the way to Augsburg. Instead of rough estimates we plan the route in advance: the A9 to the Nürnberg-Ost interchange, a short stretch of the A6 and then the B2 via Weißenburg and Donauwörth. This gives a realistic arrival time for your moving day. We give you the fixed price after the survey; our liability for damage is governed by the German Commercial Code (HGB), and more cover is available on request. Planning
the move Berlin – Augsburg
Around your move to Augsburg we take care of everything beyond the drive itself: the parking restriction zone at both addresses, packing, and dismantling and reassembling kitchens and wardrobes. We remind you of notice periods, mail forwarding and registering in Augsburg within two weeks. For the roughly 568 km we also plan in the driver's driving time and the break. We deal with Berlin period buildings with rear courtyards every day, and we check the Augsburg address at the survey – in both directions.

Spree, A9, B2, Lech – and back
From Berlin to the city of the Fuggerei – and back
A move from Berlin to Augsburg often has professional reasons: the industrial robot manufacturer KUKA is based in Lechhausen, Premium Aerotec, an Airbus subsidiary, in Haunstetten, plus companies such as the gearbox manufacturer Renk. The university also draws students to the city, which is the seat of the government of Swabia. Augsburg has just under 302,000 inhabitants and is Bavaria's third-largest city after Munich and Nuremberg. It is known for the Fuggerei: founded by Jakob Fugger in 1521, with 67 houses and 140 flats, it is one of the oldest social housing estates in the world still in existence.
In the other direction we plan the move from Augsburg to Berlin just as thoroughly: survey, packing, the drive and assembly in the Berlin flat. Whether it is a new job in the capital, family or friends – we coordinate loading and unloading so that both stages dovetail. Berlin is our home, and period buildings, rear courtyards and side wings are part of our daily work.
The route: 568 km via the A9, A6 and the B2 – not via Munich
The journey starts in Moabit: via the A100, AVUS (A115) and the Berlin ring road onto the A9, past Leipzig, Hof and Bayreuth to the Nürnberg-Ost interchange. There the lorry switches to the A6 for around 12 km and leaves it at the Roth junction. It drives the rest on the B2: via Weißenburg, Treuchtlingen and Donauwörth, where the federal road crosses the Danube, and via Gersthofen to Augsburg. Altogether that is around 568 kilometres – shorter than the detour via Munich and the A8.
On the motorway, removal lorries over 3.5 t are limited to 80 km/h (§ 18 para. 5 StVO), and on the B2 federal road the lorry makes slower progress; after 4.5 hours of driving at the latest, a 45-minute break follows (EU Regulation 561/2006). That adds up to approx. 8.5 h on the road. Because loading and unloading come on top, we check at the survey whether one day is enough or whether two drivers or two days are needed. The way back from Augsburg to Berlin follows the same route.
Arriving in Augsburg: from Lechhausen to Haunstetten
Augsburg is divided into 42 city districts that form 17 planning areas – including the Innenstadt, Oberhausen, Pfersee, Kriegshaber, Göggingen, Lechhausen, Hochzoll, Haunstetten-Siebenbrunn and the Universitätsviertel. Canals run through the old town, especially in the Lechviertel; Augsburg's water management system has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019. For every address we clarify access, floor, lift and a stopping place at the survey and apply for the parking restriction zone through the responsible road traffic authority in Augsburg. You should start looking for a flat early and in parallel with planning the move.
For a return move to Berlin we apply for the parking restriction through the road traffic authority of the district office responsible for your new flat – whether a period building in Friedrichshain, a new build in Pankow or a house on the edge of the city. We help with the last mile in both cities so that furniture and boxes arrive exactly where they belong.
Guide prices and fixed price: Augsburg and back
These guide prices show roughly what a move between the Spree and the Lech costs – to Augsburg as well as back to Berlin; the later fixed price contains no hidden items:
| Household size | Approx. volume | Guide price |
|---|---|---|
| 1-room flat | 10–15 m³ | from €350 |
| 2-room flat | 20–25 m³ | from €590 |
| 3-room flat | 30–40 m³ | from €890 |
| 4-room flat | 45–60 m³ | from €1,290 |
| House / villa | from 60 m³ | individual quote |
For the route – around 568 km via the A9, A6 and B2 – we set a guide price from €2,370, the same in both directions, plus volume and extras. All figures are guide prices; they become binding after a free survey.
These factors determine the price to the Lech
First comes the volume, because it determines the lorry and team size. Then the distance: around 568 km, calculated from €4/km, including a long stretch of the B2. Also relevant are the floor, lift, a parking restriction zone and extras such as furniture assembly. For small volumes the shared load is the affordable option.
