From the Spree to the Danube: moving Berlin – Regensburg
Through the Upper Palatinate
If you are moving to Regensburg on the Danube, we do not take you via Nuremberg. From the depot at Stromstraße 21 (Moabit) the lorry takes the A100, AVUS (A115) and Berlin ring road and turns onto the A9 at the Potsdam interchange. Near Hof, at the Bayerisches Vogtland interchange, it switches to the A72; after 13 km the A93 begins at the Hochfranken interchange and takes it 170 km through Upper Franconia and the Upper Palatinate – Marktredwitz, Weiden, Schwandorf – to the city limits. That makes around 495 km and, with a break, approx. 7.5 hrs of driving time.
The guide price is from €1,920; binding is the fixed price we state in writing after the survey. Packing, dismantling furniture, driving, setting up – one crew does all of it, on the outbound route as on the return move to Berlin. You can reach us by phone on 01625978461.
The old town with Stadtamhof has been on the World Heritage list since 2006, and you notice that when moving: narrow lanes, little room to stop, many buildings without a lift. Whether you are heading to the old town, Kumpfmühl, Reinhausen or Burgweinting – we clarify access, floor and parking space using your details and photos, because we are not based in Regensburg. Berlin period buildings with side wings and rear courtyards, on the other hand, are our everyday business.
During the free survey – in your Berlin flat or by video – we determine the vehicle, crew and schedule. Piano, glass and electronics get suitable packing material. We are liable for damage under the HGB (§ 451e: €620 per cubic metre of load space); anyone wanting more cover can take out optional additional insurance.

What we clarify before the drive to Regensburg
Between Berlin and Regensburg lie around 495 km and a World Heritage old town with narrow lanes. That is why we clarify volume, carrying distances and parking space at both addresses beforehand – and give a driving time that is accurate, in both directions.
Reliable moving service
Careful handling
Clear communication
Structured move planning
Flexible support
Quality as standard
Part load via the A9 and A93
A lorry of your own does not pay off for a few pieces of furniture or boxes. With a part load your belongings travel on a trip that runs along the A9 and A93 towards the Upper Palatinate anyway – or back from Regensburg to Berlin. You only pay for the space used. There is no timetable for this; we give you the time window as soon as a suitable trip is scheduled.

We do the packing, dismantling, driving and setup; you can add a part load, storage or furniture assembly if needed. FAQ on long-distance moves in both directions
To Regensburg for work or studies – and back
Many who go from Berlin to Regensburg are following an employment contract: the city's largest employers include BMW, Continental Automotive, Siemens and Infineon Technologies. Others begin studies, for instance at the University of Regensburg, founded in 1962, or at one of the other higher education institutions. In both cases we pack in Berlin, dismantle, drive the roughly 495 km and set everything up again in the new flat – at the fixed price that is set after the survey.
We drive the return move from Regensburg to Berlin in just the same way, whether after exams, for a new job or back to family. In Berlin, period buildings with rear courtyards and side wings are often waiting – the normal case for us as a Berlin company. Parking restrictions and furniture setup are part of it in this direction too.
The route: the A9 to Hof, then the A72 and A93
From Stromstraße 21 the lorry drives via the A100, AVUS (A115) and the Berlin ring road (A10) to the Potsdam interchange, where the A9 heading south begins: past the Schkeuditz interchange and the Hermsdorf interchange to the Bayerisches Vogtland interchange near Hof. Here it leaves the A9 and takes the A72 – Hof-Nord, Hof/Töpen and after 13 km the Hochfranken interchange. The last 170 km belong to the A93: past Rehau, Selb, Marktredwitz and Mitterteich, through Weiden, over the Oberpfälzer Wald interchange and past Schwandorf to Regensburg-Nord. Shortly before the destination the A93 runs through the Pfaffenstein tunnel and over the Danube bridge of the same name – around 495 km in total.
80 km/h is the maximum on the motorway for removal lorries over 3.5 t (§ 18(5) StVO), and after four and a half hours at the wheel EU Regulation 561/2006 requires a 45-minute break. That adds up to approx. 7.5 hrs of pure driving time. With loading in Berlin and unloading on the Danube it becomes a long day; whether two drivers manage it in one go or we spread it over two days we discuss at the survey. The way back to Berlin follows the same route.
Arriving in Regensburg – and back in Berlin
With a good 150,000 inhabitants Regensburg is Bavaria's fourth-largest city and the seat of the government of the Upper Palatinate; the Danube, Regen and Naab meet here. The World Heritage Site “Old Town of Regensburg with Stadtamhof” (since 2006) includes the Stone Bridge from the 12th century and St Peter's Cathedral; Stadtamhof was a small town of its own until 1924 and today lies like an island between the Danube and the European Canal. The green belt of the Fürst-Anselm-Allee traces the course of the medieval city wall. Altogether the city has 18 districts, including Reinhausen and Kumpfmühl-Ziegetsdorf-Neuprüll; Burgweinting was added in 1977. For old-town addresses: apply for parking restrictions early.
Anyone moving back to Berlin often ends up in Schöneberg, Pankow or Kreuzberg. There we plan the carrying route across the courtyard and side wing, use a furniture lift if needed and take care of unloading and setup in the new flat.

What determines the price of the move to Regensburg
The decisive factor is first the volume. For the route to Regensburg the distance comes on top – around 495 km via the A9, A72 and A93. Also relevant are the floor, an existing lift and extras such as furniture assembly or a parking restriction zone in the narrow old town. Anyone taking little with them saves with a part load.
Our services from packing to setup
Between the Spree and the Danube we take care of the following in both directions:
