From Stromstraße 21 the route runs via the A100, AVUS (A115) and the Berlin ring road (A10) to the Werder junction and there onto the A2 – past Magdeburg, Hanover, Bielefeld and Dortmund to where it ends at the Oberhausen interchange. A short stretch of the A3 leads to the Oberhausen-West interchange; from there the lorry drives around 18 km west on the A42 and crosses the Rhine on the Beeckerwerth Rhine Bridge between Duisburg-Beeckerwerth and Baerl. At the Kamp-Lintfort interchange we switch to the A57 and drive around 16 km south to the Krefeld exits Gartenstadt, Zentrum or Oppum. In total it is around 577 kilometres.
Lorries over 3.5 t may drive no faster than 80 km/h on the motorway (§ 18 (5) StVO); after four and a half hours of driving time a 45-minute break is mandatory (EU Regulation 561/2006). This results in approx. 8.5 hrs of lorry time. With loading and unloading, we plan two drivers on one day or two days with an overnight stop – we decide this at the survey. For the return move from Krefeld to Berlin, the same route applies in the opposite direction.
Arriving in Krefeld: from Uerdingen on the Rhine to Hüls
Since 1 November 2025, Krefeld has been divided into five boroughs: Mitte, Nord, West, Süd and Ost.
