Moving digitally as a single person: apps photo inventory and online registration

Singles guide · Part 3
A smartphone replaces the pile of notes
Digital instead of paper
If you move alone, there is nobody else to remember things for you. Digital helpers take on this role: a checklist on your smartphone, a shared calendar with the moving team and a photo inventory of all boxes. Photograph each packed box with its number, and in the new flat you will know straight away where everything is. How we take over transport and assembly is explained under private move. We quote the fixed price after the survey.
Dealing with the authorities also becomes easier digitally. In Berlin you can register online after moving in – with a BundID, the online ID function and an uploaded landlord confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung); the deadline is two weeks. You book mail forwarding online with Deutsche Post. In the meantime we take care of packing, transport and furniture assembly. For the transport we are liable under the German Commercial Code (HGB). Call us on 01625978461 for no-obligation advice.

Request a survey appointment – process by message
Fixed price after a survey, agreements in writing
Arrange a survey appointment by phone; afterwards we are happy to confirm the time, loading address and parking restriction in writing so that everything is in your calendar. You receive the fixed price after the survey – without later extra items for things that had been discussed.
Offers available individually, depending on effort, scheduling and the scope of services required.

How we complement your digital planning
Your plan, our execution
Apps remind you of deadlines, but they do not carry boxes. We take over the practical part: packing, transport, furniture assembly and, on request, the parking restriction zone. We agree the date, address and process in advance so that you have everything in your calendar. We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21) and operate nationwide; we quote the fixed price after a survey. You can see whether your destination has its own page in the locations overview.

Six digital helpers for the move
You do not need a special app – the calendar, camera and notes on your smartphone are enough for most tasks in a single person's move. All that matters is that everything is in one place and that you set reminders in good time.

Planned
digitally, moved safely
Part 3 is about digital helpers for a move as a single person: checklists on your smartphone, a photo inventory of all boxes, scanned documents and registering online. We show which dealings with the authorities can be done online and what is required for this. The question of whether a shared load makes sense is also covered. If you are planning a long-distance move, you will find further information under long-distance moves.

Frequently asked questions about a digitally planned single person's move
Take less, inventory more easily
A move is the perfect time to shed ballast and part with unnecessary things. As a single person in particular, you have the freedom to decide completely on your own what comes into the new flat and what does not. Use this chance to slim down your household and save storage and transport costs in the long term.
It is best to make a list with three categories: keep, sell and donate. This helps you keep track and prevents unnecessary clutter ending up in new moving boxes. The fewer boxes there are, the quicker your photo inventory is done – and every cubic metre saved reduces the transport volume.
Digital helpers for everyday moving tasks
As a single person you can make the most of modern apps and tools to plan your move efficiently. From digital checklists and packing list apps to moving calendars, there are numerous aids that save you time and nerves. Apps that document the contents of each box by photo are particularly practical – that way you know immediately where everything is.
Organising appointments with authorities, landlords or our moving team can also be coordinated much more easily digitally. Use shared calendars or reminder functions so that you do not forget any important step. This keeps your move stress-free and well organised despite a full diary. An overview of useful tools can be found in the article Planning a move with apps and tools.
