From the Spree to the Elbe: your move to Dresden
One day, one motorway
A move from Berlin to Dresden is above all a drive on a single motorway: from our base at Stromstraße 21 in Moabit we take the A100 and A113 to the Schönefeld interchange, then 151 km on the A13 – past the Spreewald, Ruhland and Thiendorf – to the Dresden-Nord interchange. The last kilometres lead into the city via the A4. In total that is around 196 km, approx. 2.5 hrs driving time with the removal lorry. We drive the move from Dresden to Berlin in exactly the same way, just in the opposite direction.
We quote the fixed price after the survey – the guide price for the Berlin–Dresden route is from €790, and the exact amount depends on volume, floors and assembly. On request we reassemble the kitchen and furniture at the destination, whether in Dresden's Neustadt or in Berlin-Mitte. We are liable under the German Commercial Code (§ 451e HGB: €620 per cubic metre of loading space); additional cover for valuables is possible. We come from Berlin and drive right to your door in Dresden – in both directions.

Why Dresden fits into one moving day
Your moving team for the A13, in both directions
We come from Berlin-Moabit and drive right to your door in Dresden. The route is simple: around 196 km, 151 km of it on the A13, approx. 2.5 hrs driving time by lorry. That is below the four and a half hours of driving time after which a break is mandatory. For an average household, loading in Berlin, the drive and unloading in Dresden therefore usually fit into one day – whether that is the case for your volume is decided during the survey. For narrow streets in the Neustadt or in Berlin's old-building neighbourhoods we plan the parking restriction and carrying distances in advance. You receive the fixed price in writing, and liability is under the HGB.

FAQ on the long-distance move in both directions
Why people move to Dresden – and back to Berlin
A move from Berlin to Dresden often has to do with work or studies: the Saxon state capital is regarded as the centre of "Silicon Saxony", with a focus on IT and nanoelectronics, and TU Dresden attracts students and researchers. Then there are the state government and the state parliament with their administrations. Anyone looking for more space looks around districts such as Blasewitz or Loschwitz; those who like it urban look in the Äußere Neustadt. For us that means everything from a shared-flat room to a family flat.
The return move from Dresden to Berlin often follows a university place, a new job in the capital or family reasons. Berlin's universities, international companies and cultural offer draw many back to the Spree. We organise both directions with the same care and a fixed price after a survey, whether it is a move there or a return move.
196 km, 151 km of it on the A13: route and process
From Stromstraße 21 in Moabit to Dresden it is around 196 kilometres. After the A100 and A113, the lorry takes the A13 at the Schönefeld interchange and stays on it for 151 km – past the Spreewald interchange, Großräschen, Ruhland and Thiendorf to the Dresden-Nord interchange. From there the A4 takes us to the exit closest to your address. Removal lorries over 3.5 t may drive at no more than 80 km/h on the motorway (§ 18 (5) StVO), so we calculate approx. 2.5 hrs driving time instead of the shorter car time.
The process is clearly structured: loading at the moving-out address, the drive via the A13, unloading and furniture assembly at the destination. On paper a driving-time break is not needed on this route; we still plan one in case of congestion. Whether your move can be done in one day is decided during the survey – in both directions.
Arriving in Dresden – or back in Berlin
Dresden lies on both sides of the Elbe; the Elbe meadows stretch almost twenty kilometres through the city. The Äußere Neustadt is the most densely populated district, and Striesen in the Blasewitz borough is also densely built – there we check in advance where the lorry can stop and what the staircase is like. Loschwitz borders the Dresden Heath, and on the Altstadt side stand the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger and the Semperoper. To TU Dresden, the administration or the chip industry: many choose their district by their commute, and we set the moving date by your key handover.
On a return move to Berlin, a much larger but tight housing market awaits you; an early search pays off. In Berlin's old-building neighbourhoods parking space is scarce, and we apply for the parking restriction zone for you at the district office (Bezirksamt). Our team supports you in this step just as reliably as on the move to Dresden.
