IT Relocation at a Fixed Price

How the price is calculated
A fixed price for your IT relocation – in four building blocks
Clearly calculated
A fixed price for an IT relocation is only as good as the information it is based on. The basis is an equipment list from the survey: workstations with computers and monitors, printers, racks, UPS units and everything that goes with them. Added to this are the routes at both addresses – floor, lift, distance to the lorry – and the time window you want. From this information we calculate staff, vehicle, materials and time.
The quote states what the fixed price covers: padding and packing, carrying, transport and setting up at the marked positions, and on request also dismantling and reassembling the office furniture. Not included is work by your IT such as data backup, disconnecting and commissioning. We are liable for the removal goods under the HGB. Fixed price after the survey
With equipment list and scope of services
After a free survey you receive a written quote for your IT relocation: fixed price, equipment list, included services and time window. Call us on 01625978461 or use the form – a rough list of workstations is enough for the first appointment.
Quotes available individually based on workload, scheduling and the desired scope of services.

The four building blocks of the fixed price
What goes into the calculation
The fixed price for your IT relocation is made up of four building blocks: the equipment list, access at both addresses, the scope of services and the date. Each building block is listed separately in the quote so you can see where the amount comes from. If one of them changes later – because additional equipment is added or the lift is not free on moving day –, the price changes. If everything stays as discussed, the amount stays the same too. We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21); routes to other cities can be found under Long-distance moves.
Equipment list
Access
Scope of services
Date
What changes the fixed price afterwards
A fixed price applies to the scope described in the quote. These six situations are the most common causes of changes in an IT relocation – if you know them, you can rule them out beforehand.
Additional equipment
Systems not yet dismantled
Lift not available
No parking space
New address, new route
Old equipment in the move
Fixed price for small quantities too
If only a few devices are moving to another city, we can calculate a shared load on request: your padded equipment shares loading space and the journey with other jobs. Here too there is a fixed price, but with a time window instead of a fixed delivery day.

Moving
& transport from a single source
An IT relocation is rarely a pure technology transport: desks, mobile pedestals, filing cabinets and meeting room furniture usually move too. If you have everything calculated in one quote, you get a single schedule and furniture and technology are ready at every workstation at the same time. How we relocate entire businesses can be read under Company move; which points you should check when comparing quotes is described in our article IT Relocation: What to Look Out For.

Questions about the fixed price for an IT relocation
From the survey to the fixed price
During the survey we go through all the rooms that are moving with you: we count workstations and heavy equipment, look at the stairwell, lift and the route to the lorry, and clarify which furniture is to be dismantled and reassembled. The same applies to the new address, as far as it is accessible. This information produces the equipment list, which becomes part of the quote.
We then write down the scope of services and calculate staff, vehicle, materials and time. The quote states the fixed price, the time window and the assumptions it is based on – for example that the equipment is disconnected and ready on the date and that the lift is reserved. If the move goes beyond the city limits, the route is added, as with any long-distance move.
What the fixed price includes – and what it does not
Included are the services listed individually in the quote: padding and packing, carrying, transport, setting up at the marked position and, if agreed, furniture assembly and packing materials. We are liable for the removal goods under the HGB.
Not included is the work of your IT department or IT service provider: data backup, shutting down, removal from the rack, cabling and commissioning. Disposal of decommissioned equipment is also only part of the price if it is explicitly stated in the quote.
