Commercial Move Checklist: Forget Nothing

Moving company Berlin
Commercial move checklist: authorities, customers, moving day
Nothing forgotten
In a commercial move, what moves above all is an address – and it appears in many places. Authorities: you re-register the business at the same time as the relocation (§ 14 GewO), in Berlin with the public order office (Ordnungsamt) of the new district; if you leave Berlin, you deregister and register at the new location. Registered companies change their address in the commercial register. Law firms and tax advisers' offices are not covered by the Trade Regulation Act (§ 6 GewO); doctors with statutory health insurance accreditation need approval from the admissions committee to relocate their practice.
Customers and visibility: the legal notice on your website (§ 5 DDG), your business profile on map services, letterhead, stamps, invoice templates and the door sign at the old site pointing to the new address. Contracts: lease, electricity, internet, insurance, bank, suppliers. Moving day: survey and fixed price, parking restriction zone, closing day, connections by specialist firms. We take care of the transport itself – how is described under Office move; for other cities under Long-distance moves.

Survey, fixed price, fixed date
Call us on 01625978461 and arrange a survey for your commercial move. We go through fittings, equipment and access, coordinate moving day with your closing day and then give you a fixed price. That ticks one item off your list – and we help you schedule the rest.
Quotes available individually based on workload, scheduling and the desired scope of services.

The four parts of the checklist
Authorities, online, contracts, moving day
A good checklist for a commercial move has four parts: authorities and registers, visibility for customers, contracts and moving day. You handle three of them yourself. We take on the fourth: we are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21), survey your shop, practice or workshop, give you a fixed price and dismantle, transport and reassemble – on request with a parking restriction zone. We are liable for removal goods under the German Commercial Code (§ 451e HGB).

Our moving services at a glance
Six points that should be on every commercial move checklist – because they are easily forgotten and later cost customers, money or trouble with the authorities. Tick them off in this order.
Reliable moving service
Safe handling
Clear communication
Structured move planning
Flexible support
Hand over the old premises
On the list: small items by shared load
If a few shelves, an external storage unit or some stock remain after the main move, a shared load can be cheaper than a second trip of your own: the items travel on a lorry that is heading in that direction anyway. A time window then applies instead of a fixed day.

Your
move, our craft
Alongside the commercial move, there are often other points on the list: storing fittings until the new shop is ready, disposing of old furniture or supporting employees with their private move. If the new site is in another city, deregistering the business in Berlin and registering at the new location are added. Tell us about these points during the survey and they will be included in the same quote.

Questions about the checklist
Process of a successful commercial move
A professional commercial move begins with a detailed stocktaking and the drawing up of an individual schedule. Afterwards furniture, technology and files are professionally packed, labelled and prepared for transport.
On moving day itself, our team takes over the disassembly, the transport as well as the reassembly at the new site. Finally, a joint handover takes place, in which all points of the checklist are checked one last time.
Costs and advantages at a glance
The cost of a commercial move depends on scope, distance and the staff required. After the survey you receive a fixed price listing every agreed service – an item of its own on your checklist.
Then there are smaller items you budget for yourself: the fee for re-registering the business, new signs and printed matter. We are liable for removal goods under the German Commercial Code up to €620 per cubic metre (§ 451e HGB).
Costs in detail
We offer fair and transparent prices: for a 4-room flat we charge from €1,344, for 3 rooms from €889, for 2 rooms from €615 and for 1 room from €354. For houses or villas we always prepare an individual quote. Long distances are no problem either – here from €4.15/km applies for the long-distance move. It is best to clarify all details during a free survey.
What does a move cost? The key price factors
The price of a move depends above all on the volume of your household goods and the distance between your old and new home – the route is charged from €4.15/km. The floor, whether there is a lift and a required parking restriction zone also affect the price. Extra services such as furniture assembly or a shared load can also influence the final price.
