How long does a typical company relocation take?

The duration of a company relocation depends on the size of the company. Smaller offices with only a few workstations are often moved in one to two days, while larger businesses with several departments may need several days. We plan the process so that your downtime stays minimal and you are quickly able to work again.

How is my inventory protected during the company relocation?

We are liable for damage to furniture, IT equipment or files under the HGB rules for removals, by law up to €620 per cubic metre of belongings (§ 451e HGB). For expensive equipment we recommend additional insurance or a look at your business insurance. We discuss the details in the consultation.

Can IT systems and servers also be moved?

Yes. We dismantle computers, monitors and server cabinets, pack them with padding and set them up again at the new location. Connecting and starting up the systems is best done by your IT department or service provider. For particularly sensitive equipment we recommend a separate discussion in advance.

How are the costs of a company relocation determined?

After a free on-site survey we record the scope, special features and desired time frame of your company relocation . On this basis we prepare a fixed-price quote in which each service is listed separately. This way you know from the start which services are included and what the move costs.

Do you also offer moves outside business hours?

Yes, to disrupt your business as little as possible, we also carry out company relocations in the evening or at the weekend. This flexible scheduling means your employees can already be working at the new location on the next working day. Just tell us your preferred time windows.

What happens to files and confidential documents?

We handle confidential files and documents with particular care and discretion. On request we offer special transport boxes and secure interim storage if the new location is not yet ready for occupancy. This ensures data protection throughout the entire moving process.

Can employees also move as part of the relocation?

Yes, employees often move privately as part of a company relocation . We plan these moves as a private move and coordinate them with the company date. If the company reimburses the costs, they are tax-free under § 3 Nr. 16 EStG up to the amount of the deductible work-related expenses.

With a part load , your goods are combined with other loads, which saves costs particularly with smaller company relocations or individual departments. How far in advance should a company relocation be planned?

For a smooth company relocation we recommend a lead time of at least four to six weeks, or more for larger companies. This leaves enough time for the survey, preparing the quote and coordination with your day-to-day business. We nevertheless try our best to accommodate short-notice enquiries.

That is why we plan with you which department moves when, so that your business is quickly up and running again. We give you the price as a fixed price after a survey; liability is under the German Commercial Code (HGB), and additional insurance is available on request. Packing service

The exact costs of a move depend on many factors – the size of the flat, the distance and additional services all play a role. As a guide: 1-room flat from €369, 2-room flat from €579, 3-room flat from €884, 4-room flat from €1,279. For houses and villas we always prepare an individual quote. For long-distance moves we charge from €3.95 per kilometre. The price can be determined most accurately during a free survey.

What else goes into the price of a company relocation

The final price is based on volume, distance (from €3.95/km), floor and lift. An organised parking restriction zone (Halteverbotszone) is also a cost item. Additional services such as furniture assembly or a part load round off the quote.
