Moving Berlin – Wiesbaden: to the state capital on the Rhine
Move without stress
A move from Berlin to Wiesbaden covers around 570 kilometres from Moabit to the Rhine. Wiesbaden is the state capital of Hesse and, after Frankfurt, the second-largest city in the state; the state parliament sits in the former Nassau City Palace. We come from Stromstraße 21 in Berlin and drive with the same team right to your door in Wiesbaden. On request we take care of packing, furniture dismantling, securing the load and assembly; we secure a piano, art or electronics separately. We set the fixed price after a free survey, in your flat or by video.
For the return move from Wiesbaden to Berlin there is also one fixed contact person, a clear breakdown of costs and a fixed price that applies even if it takes longer on the A66 or the A5 in rush-hour traffic. Our team dismantles furniture, packs boxes by room and keeps an inventory list. We are liable for damage under the German Commercial Code (§ 451e HGB: €620 per cubic metre of cargo space), and for valuables we arrange additional cover. We clarify floors, lift and the hillside location of your Wiesbaden address beforehand, so that moving day stays plannable.

Moabit – Wiesbaden with one fixed team
We are a removal company from Berlin-Moabit and drive your household goods ourselves all the way to Wiesbaden. We plan the route via the A9, A4, A5 and A66 in advance, as well as the parking restriction zone in Berlin and at your new address. We give you the fixed price after the survey; we are liable for damage under the HGB, and more cover is available on request. The state capital and back: answers
From Berlin to the state capital Wiesbaden – and back
A move from Berlin to Wiesbaden often has work-related reasons: as the state capital, Wiesbaden is the seat of the state parliament and state government, plus employers throughout the Rhine-Main area. Together with neighbouring Mainz on the other bank of the Rhine, Wiesbaden forms a cross-state twin centre of around half a million people. The city is known for its 15 thermal and mineral springs and the Kurhaus. We handle the complete logistics over the roughly 570 kilometres, from loading in Berlin to setting up the new flat.
The move from Wiesbaden to Berlin runs the same way: survey, packing, the drive and assembly in the Berlin flat. Whether a new job, family or a familiar neighbourhood is the reason – we plan both directions with the same care and quote a fixed price after a survey for each. We know period buildings, rear courtyards and side wings from our everyday work in Berlin.
The A5 to the north-west interchange, then the A66
Moabit, city motorway, AVUS, Berlin Ring: at the Potsdam interchange the A9 begins, taking the lorry past Leipzig to the Hermsdorf interchange. Heading west we go on the A4 through Thuringia into Hesse. Shortly after the Kirchheim interchange, the A5 takes over at the Hattenbach interchange; for about 117 km it runs via Alsfeld, the Gambach and Bad Homburg interchanges to the Frankfurt north-west interchange. There the lorry switches to the A66, passes Eschborn and the Main-Taunus-Zentrum, crosses the A3 at the Wiesbaden interchange and reaches the city past Erbenheim.
Because lorries over 3.5 t may not drive faster than 80 km/h on motorways (§ 18 (5) StVO) and a 45-minute break is required after four and a half hours (EU Regulation 561/2006), we calculate approx. 8.5 hrs of driving. Loading in Berlin and unloading in Wiesbaden come on top – whether one day is enough, two drivers are needed or we need two days is set out in the quote after the survey.
Arriving in Wiesbaden: 26 local districts between the Taunus and the Rhine
Wiesbaden lies on the right bank of the Rhine opposite Mainz, and the Taunus begins to the north. The city centre lies in a valley basin about five kilometres from the Rhine, and on the slopes there are villa districts such as Nerotal, Philippsberg and Sonnenberg. The city has 26 local districts (Ortsbezirke); the most populous is Biebrich on the Rhine, plus for example Dotzheim, Nordost, the densely built Westend and Mitte. Mainz-Kastel, Mainz-Kostheim and Mainz-Amöneburg also belong to Wiesbaden – please give the exact address when you enquire. We check access, gradient and stopping place and apply for the parking restriction through the responsible road traffic authority in Wiesbaden.
On the return move to Berlin we arrange the parking restriction zone through the road traffic authority of the district office in whose district your new flat lies. Whether a period building in Friedrichshain, a new build in Lichtenberg or a house in Spandau: we check the stairwell and carrying distances in advance. You should start flat-hunting early in both directions, in parallel with planning the move.
Price range for Wiesbaden and back
How much a move from Berlin to Wiesbaden costs is decided first by your household; the same calculation applies for the way from Wiesbaden to Berlin. As a rough guide:
| Flat | Quantity | Starting price |
|---|---|---|
| Single flat | 10–15 m³ | from €350 |
| Two-room flat | 20–25 m³ | from €590 |
| Three-room flat | 30–40 m³ | from €890 |
| Four-room flat | 45–60 m³ | from €1,290 |
| House, villa | from 60 m³ | quote after a survey |
Then there is the route: for around 570 km via the A5 and A66 we quote a guide price from €2,150, the same in both directions, plus volume and extras. All figures are guide prices; the quote after the free survey is binding.
Slopes, volume, kilometres: what determines the price
First the volume counts – it decides the vehicle and staff. On the Berlin–Wiesbaden long-distance move the distance of around 570 km is added, calculated via a price per kilometre. In Wiesbaden, slopes, floor and lift also play a role, as do extras such as furniture assembly and a parking restriction. For a few pieces a part load is cheaper.
What we take on for your move to the Rhine
Whether you hand over everything or only individual tasks – for Wiesbaden and back we take on:

- Company move – offices and administrations with a floor plan
- Furniture transport – antiques and single pieces secured
- Part load – a ride along on a tour via the A66
