Private move at a fixed price
Private move
Private move at a fixed price: what is included and what is not
Costs in view
A fixed price for a private move means: you pay an amount agreed in advance for a precisely described service, even if moving day takes longer. For this to work, the service has to be right – which is why the price is set after a survey or a video call in which furniture, boxes, floor, lift and access are recorded. Show us the cellar, attic and balcony as well.
The fixed price may only change if the service changes: additional furniture, a furniture lift, storage or a packing day that you book later. Everything else – traffic jams, a slow lift, more carrying time than expected – is borne by the removal company. What we take care of when you move flat is described under Private move.
Request your fixed price
After a survey, in writing, with all items
Call us on 01625978461. We survey your flat on site or by video and then send you a written quote with a fixed price, in which dismantling, transport, assembly and extras are listed separately. The survey is free of charge and without obligation, and you then decide at your leisure.
Quotes available individually based on workload, scheduling and the desired scope of services.
What the fixed price includes
And what you can add
We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21) and quote the fixed price for your private move after a survey. It covers travel, dismantling, transport and assembly of the furniture, plus the extras you choose: packing, materials, parking restriction zone, storage or disposal. We are liable for your household goods under § 451e HGB at €620 per cubic metre; additional insurance for very valuable items is available and then appears as a separate item in the quote.

Six factors behind the fixed price
A fixed price does not come out of thin air. We record these six factors during the survey – if you know them, you can save in a targeted way and compare quotes fairly.

This guide explains how a fixed price for a private move is set, what it includes and when it may change. How to recognise a good quote is shown in the article Private move: what to look out for. If you are leaving the city, you will find advice under long-distance moves.

Questions about the fixed price for a private move
How the fixed price is set
It starts with a survey on site or by video. We record furniture, boxes, floor, lift, access and extras and use them to calculate volume, staff and time. You then receive a written quote with a fixed price, in which every item is listed separately.
On moving day we work according to this quote. The invoice matches the fixed price as long as you do not add services.
Costs and tips on the fixed price
A fixed price gives you planning certainty, but only covers the service described. You can save above all on volume: whatever is sorted out before the survey is not charged. Boxes you pack yourself and furniture you dismantle yourself also lower the price if this is agreed beforehand.
Pay by bank transfer against an invoice; then 20% of the labour costs are deductible under § 35a EStG.

Understanding moving costs: an overview
The moving price depends on the volume, the distance (from €3.90/km) and structural factors such as the floor and lift. A parking restriction zone may also be needed. You can also use our furniture assembly or a shared load.
