Express Move: Process Costs & Tips

Moving company Berlin
From the first call to the last box
Process and costs at a glance
An express move is needed when things suddenly have to happen fast – because of a sudden job change, an unexpected notice on your old flat or a tenancy that starts at short notice. The process is the same as for any move, just on a tighter schedule: record your belongings, agree a fixed price, set the date and team, pack, transport, reassemble. How quickly a date is available depends on our bookings, the volume and the route – we tell you honestly on the first call instead of promising a fixed number of hours.
The price of a rush move depends on the same factors as always: volume, floors, carrying distance and distance travelled. We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21, Moabit); the Locations overview shows which places have their own pages. The Private move page explains what a normal flat move includes, and longer routes from Berlin are listed under long-distance moves. That way you know in advance how your immediate move will run and what it will cost.

Request a short-notice date
A fixed price based on your furniture list and addresses
Call us on 01625978461 and tell us your preferred date, both addresses with the floor and a rough list of your furniture. From this we can see whether a team is free and which fixed price applies to your rush move. If no suitable date is available, we tell you straight away.
Quotes available individually based on workload, scheduling and the desired scope of services.

What we take care of in the process
Clearly divided tasks
With a short-notice move there is no time for misunderstandings. That is why we clarify in advance who does what: will you pack yourself or shall we? Who dismantles the wardrobes? Is there a parking restriction zone or a longer carrying distance? We quote the fixed price as soon as these points are settled. We are liable for your belongings under the rules of the German Commercial Code (HGB); jewellery, cash and important documents are best transported by you.

How we support you
A fast express move only works with clear agreements on date, price and tasks. We align every step with this – from the first call to the handover of the flat.
Reliable moving service
Safe handling
Clear communication
Structured move planning
Flexible support
Joint handover
Shared load only with time to spare
A shared load is cheaper because your belongings travel on a trip that is already planned. But that rarely suits a rush move: the date is set by that trip, not by your calendar. If you have little furniture and a few days of leeway, we are happy to check whether it fits.

Your
move – fully organised
This guide covers how an express move works and the factors that determine its price. You will learn what information we need for a quote, why a parking restriction zone is often no longer obtainable with only a few days' notice and how you can save by packing yourself or choosing a flexible weekday. That way you can plan realistically even when time is short.

Questions about process and costs
Process of an express move: this is how it works
An express move starts with a phone call: we note your preferred date, both addresses with floor and lift, and your furniture. For smaller flats, photos or a video call are often enough; for larger ones a short survey is worthwhile. You then receive a written fixed-price quote and – if a team is free – the date confirmation. Our page Short-notice moving in Berlin shows how this works in Berlin in practice.
On moving day, everything is first dismantled and loaded, then driven, unloaded and reassembled if you wish. One bottleneck is the street: in Berlin, signs for a parking restriction must be in place at least three full days (72 hours) beforehand, and the authority usually needs considerably longer to issue the order. With very short notice we therefore plan honestly with a longer carrying distance.
What drives the price – and where you can save
The costs of an express move depend on volume, floors, carrying distance, distance travelled and extra services. Whether a surcharge applies for a very short-notice date is stated in advance in the quote – not only on the invoice. Moving on a weekday rather than a Saturday often gives you more choice of dates.
You can save by packing yourself, decluttering beforehand and transporting valuables and documents yourself. Label boxes with the destination room so that nothing is carried twice during the rush move. If the new flat is not yet free, discuss storage instead of squeezing everything into one day.
Cost overview for your move
Transparency matters to us: a 1-room flat costs from €354, a 2-room flat from €589, a 3-room flat from €889 and a 4-room flat from €1,289. For a house or villa you receive an individual quote, and for long-distance moves the rate is from €4.10/km. Contact us for a free survey.
What does your moving price depend on?
Besides the pure volume of your furniture, it is above all the distance (from €4.10/km) that affects the total cost. A floor without a lift or a required parking restriction zone can also increase the price. If you also book furniture assembly or a shared load, you should factor this in.
