Business Relocation: Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and answers
Business relocation: the answers before the quote
Briefly explained
Before a business relocation, businesses usually ask the same questions: how far in advance should we plan? What does it cost? Can we keep working during the move? Who is liable if a device is damaged, and where does the furniture go if the new premises are not ready yet? At Beste Umzug Unternehmen, after a survey you receive a fixed price and a relocation plan that takes the office, workshop, warehouse and IT into account. We have collected the most important answers here.
From the first survey to setup at the new site, you have a fixed contact person. Our liability for your inventory follows the rules of the HGB; where the statutory limit is not enough for expensive equipment, we discuss additional insurance. If your business is moving to another city, we plan the transport as a long-distance move from Berlin.

Is a shared load worthwhile for businesses?
For smaller business relocations or individual office units, a shared load can be cheaper: your furniture and boxes travel on a lorry that is heading in your direction anyway. Instead of a fixed day, an agreed time window then applies – for a business with a set deadline, a dedicated transport is usually the better choice.

From
planning to assembly
Many questions about business relocation are not about the transport at all: when does the business have to be re-registered? What happens to business post? Where does the furniture go if the new premises are not ready yet? For the latter, there is our storage service. If you are moving privately, you can find information on the private move, and businesses with a new site in another city under long-distance moves.

Frequently asked questions about business relocation
Process of a professional company move
A successful business relocation starts with a detailed on-site inventory. We record furniture, technical equipment, files and special requirements such as server rooms or reception areas. We then draw up an individual schedule that takes ongoing business operations into account as well as possible.
On moving day our team handles dismantling, transport and reassembly according to a clearly structured plan. Particularly sensitive areas such as IT infrastructure are labelled separately and handled with the utmost care. On completion there is a joint final inspection so that everything is in its intended place.
Costs and advantages of a business relocation at a fixed price
The costs of a business relocation depend on factors such as office size, distance and additional services such as furniture assembly or storage. With our transparent fixed-price model you know exactly from the start what costs to expect – with no hidden surcharges. This provides planning certainty, especially for larger projects with several departments.
Another advantage is the time saved: while our team organises the move, your employees can concentrate fully on day-to-day business. Our liability for your inventory follows the rules of the HGB; for high-value equipment, additional insurance is worthwhile. That way your business relocation runs efficiently, safely and predictably.
Your move – your price
Every move is different – which is why our prices are based on the size of the flat: 1 room from €365, 2 rooms from €609, 3 rooms from €894 and 4 rooms from €1,269. For houses and villas we prepare an individual quote. If you are moving to another city, we charge long-distance moves from €3.95/km. Arrange a free survey today.
Price factors in a move: what you should know
Besides the actual moving volume, the distance in kilometres (from €3.95/km) also has a considerable effect on the final price. The floor, lift and setting up a parking restriction zone also have an impact. If you wish, you can also add furniture assembly or a shared load.
