Move with assembly: what dismantling and reassembly add to the moving price
Understanding costs
A move with assembly means that we not only transport boxes and furniture but also take care of dismantling and reassembly. From the wardrobe and the bed to the kitchen units, we take the furniture apart, pack screws and fittings with labels and reassemble everything at the new home. How much assembly work is needed has a noticeable effect on the price – a shelf is dismantled in minutes, a sliding-door wardrobe or a fitted kitchen is not.
After the survey we give you a fixed price in which assembly appears as a separate item. Furniture you dismantle yourself is left out of this item. For damage we are liable under the German Commercial Code (HGB) (§ 451e: €620 per m³); additional insurance for designer furniture is available. The service can be combined with our private move and is also worthwhile for a long-distance move, because large furniture travels more safely when dismantled.

What you can rely on with assembly
Dismantled with labels, reassembled neatly
We combine furniture transport with dismantling and reassembly – for a move without a chaos of screws in the evening. Our team brings the tools, photographs complicated furniture before taking it apart and packs small parts with labels. We state the price of your move with assembly as a fixed price after a survey instead of charging by the hour. That way you can see in advance which part of the price goes on assembly. For damage we are liable under the German Commercial Code (HGB), including with delicate furniture.

When
assembly is worthwhile
Assembly is worthwhile above all for large wardrobes, beds and kitchens – and anywhere the stairwell or doors are narrow. It can be combined with the classic private move and makes sense for long-distance moves, because dismantled furniture travels more safely. If you are moving only a few pieces, choose the part load; if you only need help assembling new furniture, you can also book assembly on its own. Frequently asked questions on the cost of moving and assembly
How a move with assembly works
The process begins with a free survey or phone consultation, in which we record which furniture needs to be dismantled. On moving day we dismantle wardrobes, beds and other furniture, pack small parts with labels and secure everything for the transport. Then it is off to the new address – within the city or as a long-distance move.
At the destination we reassemble the furniture according to your plan, align doors and fix tall wardrobes to the wall where the wall allows it. The fixed connection of the cooker or gas appliances is handled by a qualified specialist whom you commission. That way the furniture is standing by the evening without you having to spend hours with a screwdriver.
Which assembly work drives the price
The costs of a move with assembly depend on the number and type of furniture, the distance and the working time. A simple wardrobe is dismantled more quickly than a fitted kitchen or an antique piece. The floor and accessibility also play a role, as does whether wall cupboards or shelves have to be refixed to the wall.
After the survey you receive a quote with a fixed price in which assembly appears as a separate item. That way you can see what reassembly costs and decide which furniture you dismantle yourself – whether for a private move or a long-distance move.
Starting prices by number of rooms
In brief: 1 room from €365, 2 rooms from €609, 3 rooms from €884, 4 rooms from €1,324. Houses and villas are quoted individually. For long-distance moves we charge from €3.80/km. We are happy to clarify all other details in person during a free survey.
What makes a move with assembly more or less expensive
The main cost drivers include the volume of your household goods and the distance, which is charged from €3.80/km. The floor and lift also have an effect. A no-parking zone shortens the carrying distances. How much furniture assembly is needed and whether a part load is suitable, we clarify beforehand.
