MAXIMUM CARE

Why we compare both options honestly

Quality at a fixed price

We offer both: the cheaper shared load and transport in a vehicle just for you. That is why we advise without favouring either option and recommend the one that suits your budget, volume and schedule. We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21, Moabit); with both options you receive a fixed price in advance, and in both cases we are liable for your belongings under the rules of the HGB.

Costs compared

On request we set both prices side by side – shared load and your own van for the same route and the same furniture list.

Fixed day or time window

With your own vehicle the day is fixed, with a shared load there is a time window; we tell you which of these fits the end of your tenancy.

Direct or with stops

Fragile items or tight dates favour direct transport, while small quantities over long distances favour a shared load.

The same care

With both options, your furniture is carried by our helpers, padded in blankets and secured with straps.
HONESTLY COMPARED

Our range of services

Transparency, reliability and fair prices come first for us. These values are reflected in every quote – whether a shared load or a complete move.

01

Reliable moving service

Whether a shared load or your own van: the agreed fixed price and the date are set out in writing in the quote.
02

Safe handling

With a shared load, your belongings are labelled and secured separately from other customers' consignments.
03

Clear communication

We tell you openly when a shared load is not worthwhile – for example with a large volume or a strict fixed date for delivery.
04

Structured move planning

We clarify volume, floors and carrying distance in advance; this shows whether your belongings fit well into a shared load space.
05

Flexible support

Both options can be combined with packing, furniture assembly or storage if the new flat is not yet free.
06

The same handover

At the destination you check your belongings with us – just as thoroughly with a shared load as with your own van.
NATIONWIDE SERVICE

When the shared load wins

Share the cargo space, cut the costs

A shared load shows its strengths when your household goods fill only part of the load area and the route is long: the travel costs are then spread across several jobs. If, on the other hand, you need a fixed day or a lot of load space, your own van is usually the better choice.

Everything
for your move

Everything around your move

There are many questions around moving: when is a shared load worthwhile, when is your own van better, and how can you sensibly combine both? Our guide covers practical topics such as cost comparison, scheduling and insurance cover. Special cases such as long-distance moves to other European countries or moves with few belongings are also explained in detail. This way you can make a well-founded decision for your next move.

Planning safe and relaxed

A good checklist coordinates dates, helpers and materials early. That way your home move, senior move or student move in Berlin stays transparent, structured and markedly easier to control.

Furniture, boxes, transport routes

With a suitable packing service, careful furniture transport and a flexible small transport, ways can be shortened, damage avoided and even narrow approaches in Berlin managed cleanly in logistical terms.

Costs, timing and special cases

Clear time windows and suitable solutions for an office move, company move, authority move, part load or furniture taxi create reliable processes and better plannable total costs in Berlin.

FAQ

Questions about the comparison

Costs, date, delivery time and liability: shared load and your own van compared directly.
With a shared load, you share the load area of a removal vehicle with other customers on the same route, which lowers costs considerably. Your own van is available exclusively to you and allows direct transport on an exact date with no intermediate stops. The choice depends on moving volume, budget and the flexibility you want.

Shared load: advantages and disadvantages at a glance

A shared load is particularly suitable for smaller moves or when your household goods do not fill the whole load area of a van. Because you share the vehicle with other customers, costs fall noticeably compared with a dedicated transport. This option is especially worthwhile for long-distance moves over great distances, as the fixed costs for fuel and tolls are spread across several customers.

The disadvantage: you are tied to set collection dates and need to plan somewhat more flexibly, as the route usually includes several intermediate stops. Delivery can also take longer; instead of a fixed day, there is a time window. But if you do not need a moving date fixed to the exact day, you benefit from much lower prices with the same liability under the HGB.

Your own van: when is organising it yourself worthwhile?

Your own van offers maximum flexibility: you set the exact collection and delivery dates yourself and do not have to take other customers into account. This option is recommended above all for larger households, tight time windows or when fragile furniture requires direct transport without reloading. For a private move within a city, too, your own van is usually the more practical choice.

The price is naturally higher than for a shared load, as you bear all the vehicle, staff and fuel costs yourself. In return, you benefit from a fixed schedule and the same team throughout, accompanying your move from start to finish. For many customers this is the least stressful solution, especially when work commitments leave little leeway. If, however, you hire and drive the van yourself, you need a class B driving licence for vehicles up to 3.5 t gross vehicle weight, organise helpers yourself and bear the risk of damage to your belongings alone.

How moving costs are calculated with us

We want you to know in advance what to expect: one-room flat from €344, two-room flat from €615, three-room flat from €905, four-room flat from €1,344. For a house or a villa we always prepare an individual quote, as size and effort vary greatly. If a long-distance move is coming up, we charge from €3.80/km. The most transparent option is a free survey at your home.

Pricing in detail

We take into account the volume of your move, the distance (from €3.80/km), the floor and whether a lift is available. If needed, we organise a parking restriction zone so the removal van can stop. Furniture assembly and shared load can also be booked.
