Part Load Checklist: Forget Nothing

Moving company Berlin
Well prepared for your shared load
Nothing forgotten
A shared load means that your belongings are transported in one vehicle together with other consignments, so the costs are spread across several customers. This option is particularly worthwhile for long-distance moves over greater distances, as the cargo space is used to the full. We make sure that your furniture is packed securely and transported properly despite the shared load. This way you benefit from a fixed price that is usually below that of an exclusive transport.
If you are flexible on timing in particular, a shared-load move can save you a considerable amount without compromising on quality and reliability. We plan the trip so that your belongings arrive at the destination within the agreed time window. A shared load is also ideal for smaller moving volumes, such as single pieces of furniture or a few boxes. You can find more information on conventional moves in our Private move section.

What we take off your list
Quality at a fixed price
A checklist helps – and it gets even easier when part of it is not down to you at all. We record the volume of your shared load, look for a suitable trip and secure your furniture during loading so that nothing slips or gets damaged, even between other people's consignments. You receive the fixed price before booking. We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21) and also handle shared loads to other cities from there – more under Locations.

Questions about preparing a shared load
Process of a part load: step by step
The process of a shared load begins with a precise record of your moving volume and the desired route. We then check which vehicles are already planned on similar routes in order to schedule your consignment optimally. As the shared load depends on the capacity of other transports, you should allow some leeway on the delivery date.
On moving day your belongings are packed professionally, labelled and stowed securely in the vehicle to prevent damage during the shared transport. After arrival at the destination, delivery usually takes place within an agreed time window. For long-distance moves, our long-distance moving page gives you additional detailed information on transit times and dates.

Before the enquiry
- Draw up a furniture list with rough dimensions (wardrobe, sofa, bed) and the number of boxes
- Note the floor, lift and parking options at both addresses
- Set the time frame in which collection and delivery are possible
Up to collection
- Label boxes with your name, destination and room
- Pad fragile items, empty or secure drawers
- Put valuables, documents and medication in your own luggage
At handover
- Tick off the list together during loading, photograph existing damage
- On delivery, check the number of items; report visible damage no later than the day after delivery and hidden damage within 14 days (§ 451f HGB)

What influences the moving price?
The price of your move depends on several factors: the volume of your household, the distance (from €4.15 per kilometre), the floor and whether there is a lift. A required parking restriction zone also affects the costs. Additional services such as furniture assembly or a shared load can change the price individually.
