Professional Clearance: The Process

Moving company Berlin
Clearance: from the first walk-through to the last sweep of the broom
The process
A professional clearance always begins with a free on-site survey, in which our team assesses the scope of the clearance. You then receive a binding fixed-price quote with no hidden costs. On the agreed date, our team arrives and clears the flat, cellar or loft properly and quickly. Finally, we hand over the rooms broom-clean and document the work with photos.
On clearance day there is a fixed order: first we secure what you want to keep and set aside any documents or photos we find. Then we dismantle large furniture, carry it out and load it separately as bulky waste, wood, metal and electrical appliances; we take paint or chemicals away separately if this has been agreed beforehand. Finally, everything is swept. On request, we combine the clearance with a private move.

First step: the walk-through on site
Free of charge, followed by a fixed price
Call us on 01625978461. On the phone you get an initial rough estimate; we give you the binding fixed price after the walk-through on site or based on photos. We then set clearance day so that it fits your deadlines – and you know from the start what the clearance will cost.
Quotes available individually based on workload, scheduling and the desired scope of services.

What makes the process reliable
Clear steps, clear arrangements
A good process begins before clearance day: at the survey, we clarify access, floor, lift, the parking space for the lorry and everything that is to stay. From this we work out team size, vehicle and duration – and your fixed price. On clearance day, the team works according to this agreement; on request, we record the condition before and after in photos. We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21, see locations) and, if needed, also plan private moves or long-distance moves along with it.

What matters on clearance day
With every clearance, we check whether there are still items of value among the household goods. This value offsetting can lower the final price; what is offset is already stated in the quote.
A joint start
Found items collected
Reachable on clearance day
Loaded separately
Careful in the stairwell
Documented handover
Taking along furniture that stays
If individual pieces of furniture are not to be disposed of on clearance day but brought to you, this can be combined with a shared load: your household goods travel together with other transports. This is particularly practical if the clearance and a long-distance move fall at the same time.

Your
move – fully organised
A clearance often goes hand in hand with an upcoming change of home, for example with a private move or a household clearance. Anyone relocating for work, for instance, benefits from organising clearance and transport from a single source. Before a long-distance move, too, it is worth having surplus household goods disposed of professionally beforehand to save on transport costs. This saves you time, nerves and money, while our team handles all the logistics.

The clearance process: questions and answers
The process of a professional clearance: from survey to handover
The process of a professional clearance follows a clearly structured procedure. After the free survey, we draw up an individual plan that takes into account the scope, schedule and staff required. Then comes the actual clearance, in which furniture, bulky waste and hazardous waste are sorted and properly taken away.
Finally, we sweep the rooms broom-clean and hand them over to you ready for use. On request, we document the condition before and after the clearance with photos. This gives you full transparency about the process and the work carried out at all times.
Costs & fixed price for a clearance: what you should know
The cost of a clearance depends on the area, quantity and condition of the household goods. That is why, after the survey, we always prepare a binding fixed-price quote covering all services including disposal. This avoids cost surprises later and keeps your budget fully under control.
Items of value are offset as part of the value offsetting and reduce the final price further. If you combine the clearance with a move, you can often save further costs through bundled logistics.
Your move – your costs
The cost of a move depends heavily on the size of the flat. Smaller 1-room flats can be moved from €375. Moving into a 2-room flat costs from €579, with 3 rooms it is from €884 and with 4 rooms from €1,309. For houses or villas there is no flat rate – here we always prepare an individual quote. For a long-distance move we charge from €4.20 per kilometre. The quickest way to find out your exact price is a free survey.
Moving price: the most important factors
The volume of your belongings and the distance (from €4.20/km) form the basis of the calculation. Added to this are the floor, the lift and a possible parking restriction zone. For furniture assembly and a shared load we charge separate rates.
Your moving partner – our services
We offer you a private move for your new home, an office move for your company, furniture transport for individual items, a shared load for small quantities, a move with assembly for the full service and clearance for a clean finish.
Long-distance move after the clearance
If the clearance is followed by a move to another city, we plan it from Berlin (Stromstraße 21). Details can be found under long-distance moves, and places with their own pages in the locations overview.
