Ideas for the perfect moving party
A successful moving party does not have to be elaborate: pizza from a delivery service, a pot of chilli or a small buffet with finger food go down well with most helpers. Add a selection of drinks with water, soft drinks, beer and alcohol-free alternatives – anyone still driving will appreciate the latter.
Small details such as a photo of all the helpers in front of the new home create memories. Think of the neighbours: in Berlin, the state Immission Control Act (Landes-Immissionsschutzgesetz) protects night-time quiet from 10 pm to 6 am, and quiet also applies on Sundays and public holidays. A note in the stairwell asking for understanding works wonders.

Besides food and drink, many moving helpers are pleased with a small, personal thank-you. Restaurant vouchers, a good beer set or a handwritten thank-you letter show real appreciation without breaking the budget.

What the move costs – and what is left for the party
The moving costs depend largely on the size of the flat. For a 1-room flat we start from €369, for a 2-room flat from €609 and for 3 rooms from €889. If you live in a 4-room flat, budget from €1,269. For houses or villas we prepare an individual quote, as many factors play a role here. For long-distance moves we charge from €4.25 per kilometre. It is best to arrange a free survey to receive an exact quote.
These factors determine the moving price
The volume of your household goods and the distance (from €4.25/km) form the basis of the calculation. Added to this are the floor, lift and a possible parking restriction zone (Halteverbotszone). For furniture assembly and part load we charge separate rates.
