Long-distance move Berlin – Eisenstadt: route process and deadlines

From Berlin to Eisenstadt
Long-distance move to Eisenstadt – from Berlin to Burgenland
Guide
A move to Eisenstadt is a long-distance move from Germany to Austria – and usually leads through Czechia. Because all three countries are in the EU, your household goods need no customs papers. Other things matter for planning: the tolls in Czechia and Austria, statutory driving times and the registration form (Meldezettel), with which you register with the city authority (Magistrat) within three days. We handle packing, transport and furniture assembly in your new home and plan the long route with the statutory breaks, so the lorry is outside your door at the agreed time.
We come from Berlin-Moabit (Stromstraße 21) and drive around 737 km on the A13 to Dresden, on the D8 to Prague, the D1 to Brno and on past Vienna via the A3 to Eisenstadt. By lorry that takes about eleven and a half hours including breaks – with two drivers or an overnight stop. We quote the fixed price after the survey, including the return trip.
