Furniture Transport to Belgium

Furniture to Belgium
Single items and part loads to Belgium
Shared load or dedicated trip
Not every furniture transport to Belgium is a whole move: often it is grandmother's wardrobe, a sofa for a daughter in Ghent or the furniture that is still in Berlin after the actual move. For such single items and part loads an empty lorry is not worthwhile. We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21) and check whether your furniture can travel as a shared load on a trip towards Brussels, Antwerp or Liège, or whether a dedicated trip makes more sense.
By road it is around 756 km to Brussels and around 726 km to Antwerp. You do not need customs papers within the EU, but you do need good packing, a packing list and someone to receive the furniture at the destination. If you are taking your whole household, read our guide to the long-distance move to Belgium. We are liable for your household goods under the HGB; valuables and documents are best taken with you.

A quote for your furniture to Brussels, Antwerp or Ghent
Fixed price after a survey or furniture list
Call us without obligation on 01625978461 or send us a list with dimensions and photos of your furniture for Belgium. We will then give you a fixed price and tell you whether a shared load is possible and in which delivery window the furniture will arrive in Brussels, Antwerp or Ghent.
Quotes available individually based on workload, scheduling and the desired scope of services.

What we clarify before the transport to Belgium
Dimensions, date, handover
With single pieces of furniture, preparation is decisive: we ask about dimensions and weight, check whether an item needs to be dismantled and clarify who will receive the furniture in Belgium. You then receive a fixed price for collection, the journey and delivery. We are liable for your household goods under the HGB, limited to €620 per cubic metre; additional insurance is possible on request. Further routes from Berlin can be found under long-distance moves.

What we do for you
Belgium is part of the EU single market, so there is no customs declaration for furniture and household goods. A packing list of all items is still worthwhile: it is the basis for the fixed price and for checking on delivery.

Moving
& transport from a single source
This guide covers furniture transport to Belgium on a small scale: single items, a part load or furniture that follows after the move. It is about a shared load or a dedicated trip, packing, the delivery window and the handover at the destination. Formalities such as registering with the municipality, your car and health insurance are explained in our checklist for emigrating to Belgium. That way you know what to do before collection in Berlin.

Frequently asked questions about furniture to Belgium
No customs, but a packing list and labelling
Belgium is part of the EU single market. For furniture and household goods that you take with you from Germany or send on later, there is no customs clearance and no import duties; there is no customs stop. You still need a packing list – not for the authorities, but for us and for you: it shows how much load space your furniture takes up, and on delivery you tick off each item.
With a shared load, labelling is important: name, delivery address and number of items belong on every piece of furniture and every box. Registering with the municipality only concerns you if you are moving to Belgium yourself; official guides give eight working days after moving in for this.
Shared load or dedicated trip to Belgium?
With a shared load, your furniture travels with other orders towards Belgium. This is usually cheaper, but instead of a fixed day we give you a delivery window. A dedicated trip is worthwhile if you need a fixed date or if larger quantities are involved. It is around 756 km to Brussels; because a driver may drive for a maximum of 9 hours a day, this route is not planned as a single driving day.
At the destination, access counts: in Brussels, Antwerp or Ghent parking space is scarce, and a parking ban for the delivery vehicle is arranged by the municipality. Many town houses have narrow stairs; then a furniture lift may be an option. Photos of the entrance and stairwell help us with planning. Lorries over 3.5 t pay a kilometre-based toll in Belgium via Viapass; it is included in the fixed price.
