Planning a long-distance move

Moving to another city
Planning a long-distance move: two places, one schedule
Coordinating departure and arrival
A long-distance move places particular demands on planning and logistics that differ considerably from a local move. At Beste Umzug Unternehmen you receive a transparent cost calculation from €3.85/km, so you know exactly what to expect from the outset. Our team coordinates routes, stopovers and load securing so that your belongings arrive safely at their destination. You can find more information about our range of services under Private move.
To make sure your long-distance move runs smoothly, we coordinate packing, loading and unloading with both flats. If moving out and moving in do not fall on the same day, your belongings can be put into interim storage. Whether you are moving within Germany or to another European country – we come from Berlin (Stromstraße 21) and clarify in advance which authority at the destination is responsible for the parking restriction. We quote the fixed price after a survey, and your belongings are covered under the German Commercial Code (HGB).

Long distance, small household: consider a part load
Moving long distances for less
With a part load (Beiladung) you share the cargo space with other customers on a similar route and save money as a result. This suits smaller moving volumes in particular, and households whose handover dates leave a little leeway. Ask our team directly about the options on your route.
Offers available individually, depending on effort, scheduling and the scope of services required.

How we organise long distances
Departure and arrival from a single source
Over long distances, the difficulty lies less in the driving than in the coordination: moving out, handover, travel and moving in all have to fit together. That is why we agree with you on which day we load and which day we unload, apply for the parking restriction at both ends on request and offer interim storage if the new flat is not yet available. We quote the fixed price after a survey; your belongings are covered under the HGB, with additional cover on request. Call us on 01625978461 to receive a quote for your long-distance move.

What matters when moving to another city
With a long-distance move, what matters most is that the dates at both ends fit together. We put the loading day, delivery day and services in writing so that you can plan your own journey with confidence.

Part loads over long distances
A part load is ideal if you want to save money and your dates leave a little leeway. Your belongings travel on a tour that is heading towards your new city anyway – which makes the long-distance move cheaper.

What
to sort out before a long-distance move
Many factors play a role in a long-distance move: the right packaging for fragile items, the choice of a suitable vehicle and the coordination of loading and unloading dates. Bureaucratic aspects such as re-registration or customs formalities for international moves should also be considered early on. Our experts support you at every stage so that you can look forward to your new home in a relaxed frame of mind. This turns your long-distance move into a stress-free experience.

Frequently asked questions about long-distance moves
How a long-distance move works
A successful long-distance move begins with a survey and an inventory list. We then fix the loading and delivery days and clarify whether storage is needed because moving out and moving in are some time apart.
On moving day our team takes care of professional packing, safe transport and punctual delivery at the destination. Furniture assembly is also part of our service on request.
Understanding costs per kilometre
The costs of a long-distance move are calculated based on, among other things, the distance, the moving volume and additional services. With us, prices start from just €3.85/km, transparently and without hidden fees.
By choosing a part load, the cost per kilometre can be reduced further, as the cargo space is shared efficiently with other moves. This lets you save considerably, especially over longer distances.
Starting prices for your move to another city
We believe in fair and comprehensible prices. That is why our moves start at €339 for one-room flats, €599 for two-room flats, €909 for three-room flats and €1,344 for four-room flats. For houses or villas we always prepare an individual quote, and we charge long-distance moves transparently from €3.85/km. Trust comes from transparency – arrange a free survey.
What makes a long-distance move more or less expensive
Alongside the volume, the distance plays a central role – here we calculate from €3.85/km. The floor, lift and any required parking restriction zone (Halteverbotszone) also feed into the price. If you would like furniture assembly or a part load, you will receive an individual quote for it.
