Moving Garden Furniture & Barbecues

Moving company Berlin
Moving garden furniture & barbecues – with the gas bottle separate
From the balcony to your new garden
When moving garden furniture, we rely on high-quality packing material so that rattan, wood and cushions are not damaged. Our movers professionally dismantle seating sets, parasols and pergolas and reassemble them at the destination. Bulky garden furniture made of metal or aluminium is also secured with suitable equipment. That way you save stress and time on your private move.
When moving a barbecue, the gas bottle is the tricky part. The pressure regulator and hose are unscrewed, the valve closed tightly and the protective cap fitted – even on an empty bottle, because residual gas remains inside. We clarify in advance whether the bottle can travel with us; otherwise you take it separately or return it to the dealer. Clean the grill and grease tray beforehand; we pack the thermometer and igniter separately. We are liable for your garden furniture and barbecue under the German Commercial Code (§ 451e HGB).

Call us on 01625978461 or use the online form. Tell us about your garden furniture, whether a pergola or shade sail needs to be taken down and what kind of barbecue you have. You then receive a fixed price in which dismantling and transport are listed individually.

How garden furniture and barbecues move with you
Dry, dismantled, secured
We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21) and treat garden furniture like any other piece of furniture: rattan, teak and polyrattan are wrapped dry in blankets, large seating sets dismantled and screws labelled. When transporting a barbecue, one fixed rule applies: the gas bottle is unscrewed beforehand and not packed together with the barbecue. Whether it can travel with us or you take it separately, we discuss before moving day.

Our moving services at a glance
For garden furniture and a barbecue to survive the move without scratches, rust or mould, these six points should be done before moving day.
Reliable moving service
Safe handling
Clear communication
Structured move planning
Flexible support
Empty the planters
Only garden furniture? Consider a shared load
If only the garden furniture or a barbecue is moving to a new address, a shared load can be cheaper than a dedicated trip: the items travel on a lorry that is heading in that direction anyway. A gas bottle does not travel with them – you take that separately.

Your
move, our craft
Garden furniture and barbecues usually move together with the rest of the household goods. On request, our private move includes dismantling, packing and reassembly – from the kitchen and the cellar to the balcony. If you are moving to another city, we plan the route as a long-distance move; for destinations abroad there is our international move. We always clarify the gas bottle separately in advance, and we only take heavy planters empty or with little soil.

Questions about garden furniture and barbecues
How to prepare your garden furniture properly
Before our team arrives, you should clean your garden furniture thoroughly and let it dry to prevent mould forming during transport. It is best to pack loose cushions, seat pads and decorations yourself into labelled boxes so that nothing gets lost. Folding models such as deckchairs or parasols should be folded and fixed with ratchet straps.
We are happy to dismantle larger rattan or wooden seating sets professionally on site to save space in the van and avoid damage. We pack metal parts such as screws and connectors separately and labelled so that reassembly at the new location goes quickly. That way your entire garden move is well prepared.
Transporting a barbecue safely: what to bear in mind
When moving a barbecue, particular care is needed, especially with a gas barbecue with a connected gas bottle. The gas bottle is unscrewed beforehand: pressure regulator and hose off, valve tightly closed, protective cap fitted. It does not travel together with easily flammable goods – whether it comes with us or you take it separately, we clarify in advance. The grill, grease tray and other accessories are cleaned and secured individually so that nothing slips.
Charcoal barbecues should be completely cooled down and cleared of ash before transport to avoid dirt in the removal vehicle. We pack sensitive electronics such as thermometers or automatic igniters separately in shock-resistant boxes. That way your barbecue arrives at your new home undamaged and ready to use.

Garden furniture on a move to another city
On long routes, what matters most with garden furniture is that everything is loaded dry and secured against slipping. We plan such moves from Berlin (Stromstraße 21) – more under Long-distance moves and in the Locations overview.
