Dismantling a kitchen and putting it back together is one of the most demanding tasks in a move, because electrical appliances, water connections and precisely fitted units all have to sit exactly right. Our furniture fitters dismantle your kitchen properly, label all cables and connections and pack worktops and fronts so they are safe for transport. That way we avoid scratches, dents and damage to expensive built-in appliances such as the cooker, dishwasher or fridge. Whether a small fitted kitchen or a large country-style kitchen – photos of the assembled kitchen help later when it is reassembled.
When reassembling the kitchen at your new home, we fit the units and worktops, align the doors and connect the sink and dishwasher to the existing water supply and drain connections; appliances with a plug go back into their socket. Hard-wired appliances such as an electric cooker or hob on a three-phase supply (Starkstrom), and every gas connection, on the other hand, belong in the hands of a specialist firm registered in the grid operator's installer directory. The kitchen service can be added to our private move.

For a kitchen move we take care of dismantling the units, labelling all parts, transporting fronts, worktops and appliances and reassembling everything – with our own tools, packing material and spare wall plugs, for common kitchen systems and with the original assembly instructions where available. We are liable under the HGB for your household goods, and in a move this also includes dismantling and reassembling the furniture. What we do not connect: a three-phase cooker and gas – that is done by a registered specialist firm. We combine the rest with your move in one appointment.

The right time to dismantle the kitchen
Ideally, plan the kitchen dismantling for one or two days before the actual moving date, so there is enough time for unforeseen challenges. With older kitchens in particular, stubborn screws or warped fronts can delay the dismantling. Our fitters therefore always bring additional tools and spare material so that they can react flexibly.
It is also important to defrost the fridge and freezer compartment in good time and to remove all food beforehand. If you discuss the exact process with us, you avoid unnecessary waiting time and make sure the rest of moving day runs smoothly.
Reassembling the kitchen at your new home
When reassembling the kitchen, we first measure the rooms to determine whether the kitchen fits unchanged or whether small adjustments are needed. Then the base and wall units are fitted, worktops screwed in place and appliances with plugs connected – the furniture part is handled by our furniture assembly service. Hard-wired electric cookers and gas appliances are connected by a registered specialist firm (§ 13 NAV, § 13 NDAV).
Finally, we check the water connections for leaks and test the dishwasher and extractor hood to make sure they work. Only when everything runs perfectly do we consider the job complete.
A fair price for your move
Fair and transparent prices are important to us. That is why our quotes for a 1-room flat start at just €369. For 2 rooms the price is €579, for 3 rooms €915 and for 4 rooms €1,299. What goes into the moving price?
The price takes into account the volume, the distance (from €4.25/km), the floor and whether there is a lift. A required parking restriction zone is also taken into account. Additional options such as furniture assembly and a shared load are also possible.
