OUR REMOVAL TEAM

Moving company Berlin

Week by week to your new home

Keeping deadlines in view

Unsere Firma Professional on-site moving solutions with secure planning, flexible services and on-time execution.

A long-distance move places special demands on planning, logistics and timing: two addresses, two road traffic authorities, a long drive in between. Eight weeks is a good framework for this – with one important exception: notice on a rented flat usually has to be given earlier. As a removal company, we accompany you from the survey to the last box at your new home and give you a transparent fixed price with no hidden costs.

We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21, Moabit) and handle moves to other cities from here; the Locations overview shows which places have their own pages. You can read there how our long-distance moves from Berlin work. We are liable for your belongings under the rules of the German Commercial Code (HGB); for very valuable items we discuss additional insurance. Call us on 01625978461 for a quote without obligation.

MAXIMUM CARE

What we take care of in the timeline

From week 8 to unloading

With a long-distance move, we take care of the tasks that take the most time: the survey, quote, parking restriction by arrangement, materials, packing, dismantling, transport and assembly at the destination. We are liable for your furniture under the provisions of the German Commercial Code (HGB). We calculate the price as a fixed price; for the route the rate is from €4.10/km. Deadlines with your landlord and the registration office (Bürgeramt) stay with you – the timeline below shows when they are due.

Packing Service

From week 4 you pack items you rarely use; if you wish, we take over the kitchen, books and fragile items shortly before the date with our packing service.

Parking restriction

If you wish, we apply for the zone in Berlin and clarify how it works at the destination – the rules of the local road traffic authority apply there.

Assembly

We dismantle wardrobes and beds in Berlin and reassemble them at your new home so that you do not have to do it yourself after the long drive – through furniture assembly.

Furniture Transport

On long routes, securing the load is what counts: furniture is padded and fixed with straps so that nothing shifts during furniture transport.
DATES THAT HOLD

What we do for you

A timeline only works with reliable dates. For every long-distance move, we confirm the loading day, delivery day and services in writing so that you can coordinate the handover and moving in.

01

Reliable moving service

The loading and delivery dates are confirmed in writing; if anything changes on our side, you hear about it in good time before moving day.
02

Safe handling

On the long drive, your belongings are padded and fixed with straps so that nothing shifts en route during the long-distance move.
03

Clear communication

The quote states what the fixed price includes – route, carrying, assembly, materials – and what would be charged separately.
04

Structured move planning

We factor in the driver's driving and rest times so that the delivery date at your new home is realistic and not just optimistic.
05

Flexible support

If the new flat only becomes free later, we discuss storage for the interim period instead of starting the plan all over again.
06

Checking on delivery

At the destination you check your belongings with us; we note visible damage immediately, and you report hidden damage within 14 days.
NATIONWIDE SERVICE

A shared load suits a long lead time

Save on smaller loads

If you have eight weeks and a small volume, you can consider a shared load: your belongings travel on a route that is already planned and you only pay for the cargo space used. The delivery date is set by that trip – with enough lead time, this is easy to plan in.

So you can relax

A successful long-distance move starts with the right order – from giving notice and the flat handover to registering at your new home. The Private move page explains what a flat move generally involves; how we handle long routes from Berlin is described under Long-distance move. Furniture assembly, storage or a shared load can also be built into the timeline. That way your move becomes a plannable event.

Planning safe and relaxed

A good checklist coordinates dates, helpers and materials early. That way your home move, senior move or student move in Berlin stays transparent, structured and markedly easier to control.

Furniture, boxes, transport routes

With a suitable packing service, careful furniture transport and a flexible small transport, ways can be shortened, damage avoided and even narrow approaches in Berlin managed cleanly in logistical terms.

Costs, timing and special cases

Clear time windows and suitable solutions for an office move, company move, authority move, part load or furniture taxi create reliable processes and better plannable total costs in Berlin.

FAQ

Questions about the timeline

Answers on deadlines, giving notice, parking restrictions, registration, costs and liability for a long-distance move.
For the move itself, eight weeks is a good framework: enough time for quotes, a survey, decluttering, the parking restriction and dealing with the authorities. Giving notice on a rented flat, however, usually comes before that – the statutory period for tenants is around three months (§ 573c BGB). Planning early also gives you more choice of date for the long-distance move.

The 8-week timeline for your long-distance move

Beforehand (around 3 months): give notice on your rented flat – if the notice arrives by the third working day of a month, the tenancy ends at the end of the month after next (§ 573c BGB). If you have less time, talk early about a new tenant or a termination agreement. 8 weeks: obtain quotes for the long-distance move, survey, declutter, request leave. 6 weeks: transfer or cancel electricity, internet and insurance. 4 weeks: apply for a parking restriction at both addresses – in Berlin processing takes around four weeks on average, and the signs must be in place at least three full days beforehand. Set up mail forwarding.

2 weeks: arrange the handover, request the landlord confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung). Last week: pack the kitchen, defrost the fridge, final arrangements with the removal company. After moving in: register with the registration office (Bürgeramt) within two weeks (§ 17 BMG) – it is not possible beforehand – and report hidden damage within 14 days. More: Long-distance moves.

Costs and ways to save on long-distance moves

The costs of a long-distance move are usually calculated by the kilometre, with us from €4.10/km, depending on the volume and extra services. Factors such as the floor, amount of furniture and packing materials required also influence the final fixed price. A personal quote creates maximum transparency and planning certainty here.

A particularly attractive way to save is the shared load, where your belongings are carried together with other transports on the same route. This is ideal for smaller households or students who want to cover long distances at low cost. Our team will be happy to advise you on which option is best suited to your individual private move.

How your moving price is composed

The basis of the price calculation is always the volume of your belongings. Added to this is the distance, which we charge from €4.10/km, as well as the floor and whether there is a lift. If a parking restriction zone is needed, further costs arise. If you would also like to book furniture assembly or a shared load, we will be happy to include this in the calculation.
