Whether single pieces of furniture, a complete set of furnishings or bulky antiques – we record what is dismantled, carried, transported and reassembled. If the journey takes longer because of a traffic jam, that does not change the price.
The fixed price takes into account the amount of furniture, floor, lift, carrying routes, distance and booked extras such as dismantling or assembly. It can only change if these basics change – for example because of additional furniture. How this differs from billing by the hour is explained in our comparison fixed price or hourly rate. Our fixed price for the furniture transport is based on three things: your furniture list, the access at both addresses and the services you book. The more precise the details, the more reliably the price holds. We are liable for your belongings under the HGB, limited to €620 per cubic metre; additional insurance is available on request. What a fixed price for furniture covers
The fixed price is based on a free survey or video consultation in which we record the scope of your furniture transport. The quote then lists all booked services: dismantling, padding, carrying, transport, assembly and extras such as packing material or parking restriction.
On moving day it is not the clock that counts, but the agreed scope. If the carrying takes longer because a wardrobe is heavier than expected, or the lorry is stuck in traffic, the amount stays the same. That is the key difference from billing by the hour.
When the fixed price can change
A furniture transport at a fixed price only changes if the basis changes: additional furniture that was not on the list, a higher floor, a missing lift or a much longer carrying route than stated. Services you add on the day are also charged extra – we tell you the amount beforehand.
You can save by emptying or dismantling furniture yourself or by having single items transported as a shared load. Whether a different date is cheaper can be seen in the quote. Keep your furniture list up to date, and there will be no surprises on moving day.

The price of a move depends largely on the volume of your household goods and the distance, which is charged from €4.25/km. The floor, whether there is a lift and a required parking restriction zone also play a role. Additional services such as furniture assembly or a shared load can also affect the price.
