Single items and part loads to France

From Berlin to Paris, Lyon or Strasbourg

Unsere Firma Single items and part loads from Berlin to France – with a delivery window, packing list and access at the destination sorted out.

A furniture transport to France often does not involve the whole household: a sofa for the flat in Paris, an inherited writing desk for the family in Lyon or the furniture that is still in Berlin after the move. For single items and small part loads, a lorry of your own over more than 1,000 km is rarely economical. We are based in Berlin (Stromstraße 21) and, when you enquire, check whether your furniture can travel as a shared load on a trip in your direction or whether a dedicated trip fits better. For this we need dimensions, photos and the delivery address with floor.

Customs papers are not needed within the EU. More important are good packing, a packing list and access at the destination: in Paris the delivery vehicle needs a parking permit, which is applied for at least 15 days in advance. If you are taking the whole household, you will find the route, driving time rules and process in the guide to the long-distance move to France. We are liable for your household goods under the HGB; we give you the fixed price after a survey or a furniture list.

A price for your furniture to France

Fixed price after a survey for your transport to France

Send us a list with dimensions and photos or call us on 01625978461. You receive a fixed price for collection in Berlin, the journey, péage (motorway tolls) and delivery in France, and find out whether a shared load is possible and in which delivery window your furniture will arrive. For Paris we also tell you by when the parking permit must be applied for.

Quotes available individually based on workload, scheduling and the desired scope of services.

MAXIMUM CARE

What is settled before the journey to France

Dimensions, delivery window, parking permit

Before booking, we clarify with you what determines the furniture transport to France in practice: will the furniture fit through the stairwell and lift at the destination, who will receive it, does the delivery vehicle need a parking permit, and is a delivery window enough or do you need a fixed day? From this we work out whether a shared load or a dedicated trip fits, and a fixed price. We are liable for your household goods under the HGB, limited to €620 per cubic metre; additional insurance is possible on request. You take care of formalities after the move yourself, and our checklist helps with this.

Packed for 1,000 km

It is around 1,050 km to Paris. Blankets, stretch film and edge protectors protect wood and upholstery on the long journey – on request via our packing service.

Small lift

In many old Paris buildings the lift is tiny. We check dimensions and stairwell in advance so that the wardrobe or sofa will actually fit into the flat at the end.

Travel dismantled

Large furniture travels more safely dismantled and needs less load space. You can book reassembly in France as furniture assembly on request.

Parking permit in Paris

For the delivery vehicle in Paris, a permit with a fee is applied for online at least 15 days in advance – who takes care of this is stated in the quote.
ALSO FOR SINGLE ITEMS

Our services at a glance

There is no customs declaration for furniture and household goods within the EU. A packing list of all items and boxes is still worthwhile: it determines the load space in the quote and serves as a check when unloading in France.

01

Reliable moving service

Before booking, you find out when we collect in Berlin and in which period your furniture will arrive in France – as a delivery window for a shared load.
02

Safe handling

Every item is padded, strapped down and kept separate from other people's goods so that it copes well with the long journey to France.
03

Clear communication

Collection, kilometres, péage, parking permit and delivery are listed separately in the quote, so that your fixed price for France remains easy to follow.
04

Structured move planning

We ask about the floor, lift size and access at the destination, because in French old towns the access determines how long the delivery takes.
05

Flexible support

If more boxes or another piece of furniture are added, let us know before collection – then we adjust the volume and price in good time.
06

Delivery in France

Check the furniture when it is unloaded. Note visible damage on the delivery note and report it no later than the day after delivery.
FROM BERLIN TO ABROAD

Little to move? Part load!

Ideal for just a few pieces of furniture
We check whether a trip to Paris, Lyon or Strasbourg is coming up when you enquire. Instead of a fixed day we give you a delivery window in advance; if you need a fixed date, a dedicated trip is better. No customs papers are needed, and liability under the HGB applies to your household goods.

We take care of every detail

This guide shows how single pieces of furniture or a part load get to France: a shared load or a dedicated trip, packing for more than 1,000 km, the delivery window, the parking permit in Paris and the handover at the destination. What you take care of yourself after the move – car, health insurance, flat – is covered in our checklist for emigrating to France. Further long routes from Berlin can be found under long-distance moves.

Planning safe and relaxed

Send dimensions and photos, arrange who receives the furniture in France and apply for the parking permit in Paris in good time: that way your single item becomes an easily plannable furniture transport at a fixed price.

Furniture, boxes, transport routes

Blankets, film and edge protectors, labelled boxes and a bag of screws on the furniture: that way your part load arrives complete and intact even after more than 1,000 km.

Costs, timing and special cases

Volume, kilometres, péage and access at the destination determine the price. A shared load saves money if you are flexible on the delivery day in Paris, Lyon or Strasbourg.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about furniture to France

Answers on documents, customs, delivery time, costs, parking permit and liability for a furniture transport to France.
For the transport itself you do not need any customs papers within the EU. What matters is the full delivery address with floor, the name and phone number of the person receiving the furniture, and a packing list of all items. For Paris, the parking permit for the delivery vehicle is added. Carry your ID and documents yourself.

No customs – but a packing list and labelling

France is part of the EU single market. For furniture and household goods that you take with you from Germany or send on later, there is no customs clearance and no import duties; no accompanying papers are needed for the border. You still need a packing list: it shows how much load space your furniture takes up, and on delivery you tick off each item. Photos of the condition before collection make the later check easier.

With a shared load, name, delivery address and number of items belong on every piece of furniture and every box. Valuables, jewellery and documents do not travel in the lorry but with you. Incidentally, EU citizens have no obligation to register at the town hall (mairie) in France; what needs doing after the move is explained in our emigration checklist.

Shared load or dedicated trip to France?

From Berlin it is around 1,050 km to Paris and around 756 km to Strasbourg. Because a driver may drive for a maximum of 9 hours a day, a dedicated trip to Paris takes two days; most French motorways also charge tolls (péage). For a single piece of furniture, a shared load is therefore usually the cheaper solution: your furniture travels with other orders, and we give you a delivery window instead of a fixed day.

At the destination, access is decisive. In Paris the delivery vehicle needs a parking permit from the city, which is applied for online at least 15 days in advance and is subject to a fee. In old buildings lifts are often small and stairs narrow; then dismantling or a furniture lift may be an option. We check before the journey whether the vehicle needs a Crit'Air sticker, because the rules for low-emission zones change.

From one-room flat to villa

Whether you live in a small one-room flat or a large villa – we have the right offer. We move 1-room flats from €344, 2-room flats from €579, 3-room flats from €915 and 4-room flats from €1,269. For houses and villas there is an individual quote. If you are drawn further afield: long-distance moves from €4.25/km. Arrange your free survey now.

How the price of your move is calculated

First we look at the volume of your household goods and the distance, which is factored in from €4.25/km. The floor and lift are also decisive for the staffing effort. If needed, we also set up a parking restriction zone. For furniture assembly and a shared load you receive an individual quote.
