After moving in, you must register with the responsible registration office in Erlangen within two weeks. The City of Erlangen handles re-registration at the citizens' service (Bürgerservice) on the ground floor of the town hall at Rathausplatz 1, 91052 Erlangen. According to the city, no appointment is required for re-registration, but there may be waiting times. The city also points out that when it is very busy, the citizens' service stops issuing waiting numbers up to 120 minutes before closing. So do not leave re-registration until the last moment before the deadline. The city shows the current waiting time on its website.
