From Berlin-Moabit to the dyke town

Moves in Neuwied with a team from Berlin

Fixed price after a survey

Unsere Firma comes from Berlin-Moabit for moves in Neuwied and clarifies the parking restriction, access and date in advance.

Our company is based at Stromstraße 21 in Berlin-Moabit, around 605 road kilometres from Neuwied. For a move in Neuwied the team travels by lorry – to the town centre behind the Rhine dyke, to Engers on the Rhine or to Niederbieber.

Before the Neuwied move we clarify the route, the parking space and the date. Neuwied lies on the right bank of the Rhine, about ten kilometres north-west of Koblenz; the B42 and B256 cross in the town, and the A3, A48 and A61 can be reached quickly via the federal roads.

Answers on parking restrictions, fees, registration and districts for your move in Neuwied – with reference to the town's information, for better planning.

We recommend arranging the moving date at least three to four weeks in advance, especially for moves in the town centre or at the start of semester, when many dates are in demand at the same time.

Moving in Neuwied: process and local features

Neuwied lies on the right bank of the Rhine, about ten kilometres north-west of Koblenz, and is the district town of the Neuwied district in Rhineland-Palatinate. The proximity to the Rhine, the town centre around Luisenplatz and the established residential areas place their own demands on planning and logistics during a move. As a moving company from Berlin, we ask about access and parking space in the town centre in advance; the B42 and B256 cross in Neuwied, and the A3, A48 and A61 can be reached via the federal roads within a few minutes.

With us, a move begins with a survey – by video or by arrangement. During it we record room sizes, floor, access routes and special items such as pianos or works of art. We then prepare a transparent fixed-price quote without hidden costs. On moving day our team, travelling from Berlin, takes care of professional packing, furniture protection, transport and assembly in your new home – whether it is a private move to a terraced house in Heddesdorf or a flat in Neuwied town centre.

Special features in Neuwied include the limited parking near the centre and the location on the Rhine behind a protective dyke around 7.5 kilometres long; we take both into account when planning the route and loading. Seasonal factors such as the Rhine water level or events in the town centre also feed into our scheduling. Which streets are easy to drive through at which times and where a parking restriction is worthwhile, we clarify during the survey. In this way we make sure your move in Neuwied runs smoothly, on time and without stress – from the first consultation to the last box.

Districts and residential areas for your move in Neuwied

Neuwied is divided into 14 districts of very different character, which has a direct effect on planning a move. Whether a period building, a new-build estate or a rural outlying location – our moving company asks about the conditions in advance and adapts vehicle size, team and time window individually.

  • Innenstadt: planned town from 1653 behind the Rhine dyke, parking space is scarce
  • Engers: on the Rhine with the late Baroque Engers Palace, a district since 1970
  • Heddesdorf: a district since 1904, where Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen was mayor
  • Feldkirchen, Gladbach, Irlich: districts with their own village centres
  • Oberbieber, Niederbieber, Segendorf: districts towards the Westerwald
  • Block, Torney, Rodenbach: residential areas, access depending on the street
  • Heimbach-Weis, Altwied: districts on the edge of the town

Whether a parking restriction zone is needed in the town centre, in Engers or in Feldkirchen, we clarify individually for each address during the survey. The distance to your future home also plays a role: anyone moving from Neuwied to nearby Koblenz benefits from short journey times, while moves towards the Westerwald or the Hunsrück need a little more lead time. With this information we plan every move – from a student room near the centre to a house on the Rhine riverside – before moving day.

Moving costs in Neuwied: transparent prices at a glance

The moving costs in Neuwied depend on several factors: size of the flat, floor, distance, accessibility and any additional services needed, such as packing or furniture assembly. So that you have clarity from the outset, we work with transparent fixed prices without hidden extra costs.

ServicePrice
Move of a 1-room flatfrom €339
Move of a 2-room flatfrom €615
Move of a 3-room flatfrom €894
Long-distance move (per km)from €4.15
Parking restriction zone (per day)€30–100

These guide prices serve as orientation for moves within Neuwied and to surrounding districts such as Engers, Heddesdorf or Feldkirchen. For a long-distance move, for example towards Kaiserslautern or Trier, we calculate the price based on the actual number of kilometres and the effort involved. Additional costs can arise from narrow access roads in Neuwied town centre, a lack of lifts in older blocks of flats or special items such as a piano – for these we offer dedicated solutions such as piano transport.

You can save, among other things, by booking early, choosing a flexible date outside peak times and doing some of the packing yourself. After a free survey we will gladly prepare an individual, non-binding quote tailored exactly to your situation in Neuwied – whether a small student move or a complete household on the Rhine riverside.

Parking restriction zone and parking when moving in Neuwied

Anyone moving in Neuwied town centre, in Engers or in densely built residential streets such as Heddesdorf knows the problem: parking space is scarce and loading zones are rare. To allow our removal van to stand right outside the door, a parking restriction zone often makes sense. It is applied for at the public order department of the town of Neuwied; the mobile signs may only be put up once permission has been granted.

Especially in the town centre around Luisenplatz, in streets such as Marktstraße or in residential areas with little parking space, a designated parking restriction zone is worth its weight in gold: it prevents long carrying distances, saves time and protects against fines caused by wrongly parked vehicles. This solution is also recommended for moves in districts such as Feldkirchen or Torney, where construction vehicles or many residents' cars compete for parking spaces.

  • Clarification during the survey of whether a zone is needed
  • Putting up the signs in good time before the moving date
  • Costs of €30–100 per day, depending on location and period
  • Implementation in line with the requirements of the town of Neuwied

You should apply early; the deadline and fee according to the town are given in the section further below. This not only saves nerves but also reduces moving costs, as shorter carrying distances cut the time required and therefore staff costs. Especially in the town centre with scarce parking spaces, this forward-looking planning makes for a much more relaxed moving day.

From Neuwied to Koblenz, into the region and to Berlin

Via the B42 and B256, the A3, A48 and A61 can be reached within a few minutes – for long-distance moves throughout Germany. Via the motorway you can quickly reach Cologne, Frankfurt and the entire Rhine-Main area. Anyone moving on to Berlin for work or private reasons should expect around 605 road kilometres to our base in Berlin-Moabit – a route we plan with clear time windows.

We also handle moves within Rhineland-Palatinate, for example from Neuwied to Koblenz, around ten kilometres away, or to more distant cities such as Kaiserslautern, Trier and Worms. For all these routes we charge transparently from €4.15 per kilometre, depending on load volume and additional services.

For smaller quantities, such as individual pieces of furniture or a few boxes, we also offer an affordable part-load, where your household goods are transported together with other consignments. This is ideal for students moving from Neuwied to another university town, or for smaller office moves with a manageable volume.

For long distances we plan ahead: secure load restraint, planned breaks and a realistic schedule are a matter of course for us. On request we also assemble the furniture at the destination, so that after a move from Neuwied to another region you can move straight in without having to worry about assembly work.

Office and business moves in Neuwied, professionally organised

With around 67,000 inhabitants, Neuwied is an important residential and business location in the Middle Rhine region. For companies that are relocating, expanding or moving their premises here, we offer a professional office move with minimal downtime and maximum planning certainty.

An office move requires a different approach from a private flat move: IT infrastructure, server cabinets, files and sensitive documents must be transported safely, in compliance with the GDPR and without data loss. We draw up a detailed moving plan in advance that takes into account floors, lift capacities and delivery times in Neuwied's business parks – so that operations can often continue at the new location on the next working day.

  • Dismantling and assembly of office furniture and workstations
  • Safe transport of IT equipment and files
  • Labelling system for quick reassembly
  • Moves outside business hours or at weekends
  • Coordination with landlords and property managers in Neuwied

For smaller offices, practices or law firms in Neuwied town centre, where parking is limited, we also plan a parking restriction zone where needed to speed up loading and unloading. For companies operating across regions, we also handle moves to Koblenz, Kaiserslautern or other economic regions of Rhineland-Palatinate. With fixed contacts, clear communication and an inspection in advance, we make sure that your office move in Neuwied runs smoothly and your day-to-day business is affected as little as possible.

Student moves in Neuwied: process and easy booking

Many students in Neuwied commute to the nearby university or college in Koblenz and are looking for an affordable, straightforward moving solution. Our student move is tailored to exactly that: small teams, compact vehicles and fair fixed prices geared to students' tight budgets.

Especially for rooms or small flats in Neuwied town centre, in Irlich or near the centre, where parking is limited, a short part-load is often worthwhile instead of a whole removal van if only a few pieces of furniture and boxes need to be moved. For larger student households with a desk, bed and shelves, on the other hand, we offer our regular moving service with a fixed price after a survey.

Our booking process is deliberately kept simple:

  • Get in touch by phone, email or online form
  • Free assessment of the moving volume, by video if needed
  • Transparent fixed-price quote without hidden costs
  • Confirmation of the date and organisation of a parking restriction zone if required
  • Carrying out the move, including dismantling and assembling the furniture

We recommend booking early, especially at the start of semester, as many moves take place at the same time in Neuwied and nearby Koblenz during these periods. If you also need to hand over your old flat swept clean, you can add our house clearance. This way students in Neuwied get everything from a single source: transport, furniture assembly and, if required, proper disposal of old furnishings – organised quickly, affordably and reliably.

Applying for a parking restriction zone in Neuwied: public order department, deadline and fee

In Neuwied you apply for a temporary parking restriction for moves at the public order department (Ordnungsabteilung) of the town administration, Engerser Landstraße 17, 56564 Neuwied. According to the town, the application is informal and must be made in writing. You must state the location, the period and the length in metres, which depends on your vehicle. Anyone applying on behalf of others can enclose a power of attorney.

  • Deadline: The application must be received at least 14 days beforehand. The signs must be in place at least 3 days before use and may only be put up once permission has been received.
  • Fee: According to the town, it depends on duration and scope and is between 30 and 200 euros.
  • Two locations: Separate orders are required for the pick-up and destination locations.
  • Signs: Only traffic signs in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) are permitted. The set-up must be recorded with time and exact location, and after the move the signs must be removed or made invalid.
  • Container: According to the town, it requires a separate special-use application.

Other vehicles in the zone can be removed. Reserving parking spaces with tape, boxes or chairs is not permitted and can lead to a warning. You can reach the public order department on 02631 802-431; appointments are currently requested. Whether a parking restriction is needed outside your door, we clarify during the survey: Parking restriction zone.

Neuwied: 14 districts from Engers to Torney and registration at the citizens' office

On its website, the town of Neuwied lists 14 districts: Altwied, Block, Engers, Feldkirchen, Gladbach, Heddesdorf, Heimbach-Weis, Innenstadt, Irlich, Niederbieber, Oberbieber, Rodenbach, Segendorf and Torney. For your move this means: always give the exact address when you enquire, so that the route and parking restriction are right.

According to the town, the centre is young: Neuwied was founded in 1653, and there is no "picturesque old town" in the centre as in other Rhine towns. The wide, grid-like streets were considered modern in the 18th century. The dyke on the Rhine is also a central landmark.

After moving in, you register at the citizens' office (Bürgerbüro) of the town administration, Engerser Landstraße 17. According to the town, registration costs nothing. You should bring your ID card or passport, the completed registration form and, depending on the case, the landlord confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung). An appointment is generally required for registration matters, which you can book online at termin.neuwied.de; telephone +49 2631 802-777. According to the town, it is open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 am to 12:00 noon, and on Thursdays from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
